Trinity Easy AIs were pretty easy. They never really had a chance of winning. But these guys aren't even fighting.Farseer wrote:*gasp*, you mean they're easy now?

If I recall correctly, Easy and Normal were made easier, while Hard and above were made harder.Last_Jedi_Standing wrote:Trinity Easy AIs were pretty easy. They never really had a chance of winning. But these guys aren't even fighting.Farseer wrote:*gasp*, you mean they're easy now?

It was already the case that the AIs went from trivial to nigh-unbeatable without a middle ground. Have they made that even more the case?Pat22 wrote:If I recall correctly, Easy and Normal were made easier, while Hard and above were made harder.

Re: Sins of a Solar Empire
I don't think so, I think they made it less of a gap. Hard AIs no longer get any resource bonuses, but start with two frigate factories which apparently helps the AI play better. They also made it so AIs are smart enough to save up money for stuff instead of just spending everything right away.Last_Jedi_Standing wrote:It was already the case that the AIs went from trivial to nigh-unbeatable without a middle ground. Re: Sins of a Solar Empire
Hmm. That's good. The AI difficulty gap is one of the very few criticisms of SoaSE that I've seen turn up in multiple places.

That Trinity easy AI fought pretty hard in that one game we played.
Spoiler:
Re: Sins of a Solar Empire
The question that now remains is whether the AI is so good or you are so bad

They're watching ...

I still haven't figured out what the hell was going on there. I've had it happen again, though. Mandalore and I had a terrible time against a couple of Vasari Easy AIs recently. Like the one we played, they was doing stuff that I've never seen Easy ones do anywhere else.Nope wrote:That Trinity easy AI fought pretty hard in that one game we played.

I'd take you up on that offer but I have this strange feeling that I should be going outside, doing something physical or otherwise productive.
Maybe later this evening?

Jedi has Rebellion
Pat has Rebellion
ACH has Rebellion
Avenger has Rebellion
Fenway has Rebellion
Tiel has Rebellion
I also know a handful of people working on a mod for Rebellion that I might be able to convince to participate.
WE CAN MAKE THIS WORK.

Also, Rebellion is currently ten american dollars on Steam.

Re: Sins of a Solar Empire
I guarantee nothing, but I should theoretically be able to play at that time.

Re: Sins of a Solar Empire
I cleaned my paintball gear that had been lying in a bag covered in paint for like two weeks now, that's gonna count as something physical.
I would actually go PLAY paintball but it's 4pm and there'll be fraktons of traffic so no thanks. I'll go some other day.
I can play now. My conscience has been appeased.
