Trinity Easy AIs were pretty easy. They never really had a chance of winning. But these guys aren't even fighting.

If I recall correctly, Easy and Normal were made easier, while Hard and above were made harder.

It was already the case that the AIs went from trivial to nigh-unbeatable without a middle ground. Have they made that even more the case?

I don't think so, I think they made it less of a gap. Hard AIs no longer get any resource bonuses, but start with two frigate factories which apparently helps the AI play better. They also made it so AIs are smart enough to save up money for stuff instead of just spending everything right away.

Hmm. That's good. The AI difficulty gap is one of the very few criticisms of SoaSE that I've seen turn up in multiple places.

That Trinity easy AI fought pretty hard in that one game we played.

I still haven't figured out what the hell was going on there. I've had it happen again, though. Mandalore and I had a terrible time against a couple of Vasari Easy AIs recently. Like the one we played, they was doing stuff that I've never seen Easy ones do anywhere else.

I cleaned my paintball gear that had been lying in a bag covered in paint for like two weeks now, that's gonna count as something physical.
I would actually go PLAY paintball but it's 4pm and there'll be fraktons of traffic so no thanks. I'll go some other day.
