I'm failing to see any problems there. Correct control of the people by the government is the whole goal of government. Dissidence should be cracked down on in any healthy nation, and your government can already force labor in a draft. Drafts are only different because you are payed to kill people.
All in all, I'm failing to see a problem in your new developments.

Tau, there´s one thing you miss:
Obama might be the president, but he still needs the senate agreeing to his plans in order to push his laws.
The senate is made up of mostly republicans.
And that health care thing doesn´t have to fail. Look at Europe, it worked there.

Ivan, there's this thing called an 'Executive Order'. I don't fully agree with Tau's sentiment here but he's at least partially correct on that point.

I don't remember there being a 2nd division 5th battalion no squad specified since the Unification War(s).Ivan2006 wrote:Okay...?

Silent Hill. The monsters were plenty disturbing and scary in the game but in the movies theyre just stupid :l

Droidekas. In the movies they're incredibly deadly weapons that Jedi Masters run away from, and in games I just laugh at them.

I have played Republic Commando, and while droidekas are annoying in that game I found SBDs to be more of a problem. SBDs have a ridiculous amount of health compared to just about everything else.Tiel wrote:Someone hasn't played Republic Commando.

Droidekas. They make them underpowered in most games. Didn't the clones have to use EMP grenades, and even multiple at that, to penetrate them?
Also- Slenderman. He's not scary.

Jet troopers are their counter in SWBF. Their EMP launchers make pretty short work of droidekas. They can 1-shot them without the shield, and it only takes two shots to bring it down. I don't know how many EMP grenades it takes other classes, because I can usually just shoot them with my DC-15 until they die. Droidekas are also so horrendously inaccurate that their chance of actually hitting you is virtually nil if you're not standing right in front of them.Professor Fenway wrote:Droidekas. In the movies, they're pretty well indestructible once they've got their shields up. I don't know whether they could be taken down with EMP grenades or not. Clones generally had to use heavy weapons to kill them, like the beam turrets on LAAT/i's at Geonosis.

I am not entirely sure how to take down a droideka effectively, but it has been seen that their shields are useless against matter, so a single grenade would already be enough if you manage to get it landing inside the shield.

SWBF isn't exactly a reliable source. Most of what's in there is for gameplay purposes.Last_Jedi_Standing wrote:Jet troopers are their counter in SWBF. When was it proven their shields don't deflect matter? That'd be a rather obvious flaw, wouldn't it? There are several types of shields in the Star Wars universe, some are susceptible to slow-moving projectiles, some aren't. I'm fairly certain Droideka shielding is among the latter.Ivan2006 wrote:I am not entirely sure how to take down a droideka effectively, but it has been seen that their shields are useless against matter, so a single grenade would already be enough if you manage to get it landing inside the shield.
