Against any sort of item giving, to be honest. That just leads to server going to crap. A specific amount of currency would work, though. The problem with allocating private facilities lies in the question of where to put them, and I can't imagine being able to scurry a cruiser-class ship away is going to significantly help gameplay. The concept of having some sort of private lounge for them does sound appealing, though. As for spawning a noob boat, or any boat, that's what I was trying to accomplish when I was making the ultimately failed sci fi server, it'd involve learning worldedit's asinine craftscripting system which seems like a huge timesink with limited discernible benefits.
As for weapons, the server's currently using movecraft as opposed to autocraft simply for the fact that you can actually dock using Mcraft. This comes at the cost of weapons, however, although I have heard that its dev is currently working out a deal with the maker of the cannons plugin..

Mineral blocks are overdone and break gameplay. My personal feelings on the subject aside, people would take one look at that perk and think I'm desperate or stupid, neither of which are conducive to the desire to subsidize costs.
Ingame currency would provide a boon to faction expansion and give means to purchase useful items while not throwing anything resembling balance to the wind. My goal here is to provide an incentive to donate to the server so I can upgrade the VPS down the line, not offer ridiculously overpowered bonuses to whomever gets ahold of mommy's credit card.
Ergo, most of the perks would likely comprise of caveats and simple shortcuts provided by plugins. I'm open to suggestions regarding that.
Tomorrow I'll get on at around 4:00 UTC-05:00 and finish as much up as possible.
