I think dieselpunk recognizes more of the laws of physics than steampunk.POUNDCAKES wrote:Silly steam/diesel-punk, that's not how you physics.

Of course... I could be wrong:

Re: Steampunk vs Dieselpunk
...he´s a punk with repulsors, right?
Anyway, Star Wars would actually not be any -punk genre at all, since it has a lot of different tech available to it.
Repulsors, Walkers, Hyperspace, The Force (I know It´s not a tech, but it´s still a genre-factor. If it was just the force, It would be psi-punk)

No it's a general clean futuristic aesthetic like you could see in ME or Star-wars (especially the imperial ships).

Re: Steampunk vs Dieselpunk
I like Steam-punk and Diesel-punk equally. I was treading towards steam-punk yesterday (I started building a steam-punk mech in Minecraft), but currently I think diesel-punk is cooler. Steam-punk represents an alternate technological development path though, while diesel-punk is just old-fashioned with a hint of futurism to it.
This is a signature.
