You think TF2 isnt completely wtf? The storyline is that Red and Blue are fighting over the gravel pits of America because they think that gravel will provide the power of the future! The third brother, Grey, was carried off by an eagle when he was born and was raised by them. The entire game is wtf.

In the animated series focusing on the penguins secret service activities, there is a fictional show called "Lunacorns" which happens to be able to win the second price for most-obvious-MLP-knockoff. (the first price going to the filly-franchise. Every brony will remember them for the Lyra-plushy) It shows the series as the childish and girly show the previous generations were (think of G2 and G3), just with the phenomenon of adults being interested in it.
The penguin Private happens to be one of these Lunacorn-fans and is shown as quite... not-manly.
Altough there are situations in which other more masculine characters (like a gorilla) are shown to enjoy the show, it´s pictured as mostly a softener for people, even going so far as to make Rico a hippie after the voice chip of some Lunacorn-puppet was inplanted in his beloved girlfriend-doll.
People who watch The Penguins and then discover MLP are likely to already have prejudice against that kind of show.

Well considering the show was originally aimed at little girls... I don't think you should really be ashamed that they are pointing out the original target audience, though I understand they have adapted to fit their new following, and I mean MLP has always been a girls toy, always (until the TV series became popular on 4chan).
