Yeah, the 660 is significantly more powerful than the 650TI, as in holy crap what is up with their numbering system these two aren't even close.

How much more futureproofed is it? Can I use it for a whole year more than a 650ti, or only 6 months maybe. I want to be able to run the next Bethesda RPG (Fallout 4) and other new games (perhaps those that us the frostbite 2 engine like BF3) in the future. Just about any graphics intensive game that will be released in the next 2 years.

Most of that stuff is CPU tethered. But, yeah, it's not 'night and day' like say a GMA HD compared to a 630 GT, but there's a big performance gap between the two, enough to make getting the 650 when you could be getting the 660 a fool's choice.

Why? Macs just work. Best computers ever won't have to worry about screens and stuff.
well macs are not meant for gaming. they were created to keep hackers and viruses out but this made it pretty hard to code for or at least harder than a pc. so you can get twice as many games for pc.
Throw the commies in the drink so my country can be free!

OpenBSD was made to keep hackers and viruses out. Macs are in no way safe from anything, and they're not harder to code for, it's just annoying to develop for multiple OSes when nearly everyone uses Windows.

Also Macs are PCs and no amount of marketing is going to change that. They all execute x86-64 instructions and have the same architecture and same hardware. All that's different anymore is the operating system, and even that is Unix based, like every single distro of Linux.

No, really, PC is short for Personal Computer and thus every stationary computer designed for personal usage.

Yeah, the main problem with Macs is that almost nothing is compatible to them.
They are for rich people thinking they are cool as a status symbol, but that´s about it with its pros.
Altough I´ve heard that there is a way to get Windows-programes working on linux, but I´m not sure if that method is totally legal.
Windows: For almost everyone.
Mac OS: For rich noobs.
Linux: For programmers, servers and big supercomputers due to legal modification and very good computing power-result ratio.

Linux isn't really in mainstream use these days, either. Typically the only apps that run on them natively are those that are open source, which makes for a pitiful selection. The only others that run with no hassle cost money, and even then the total number of stuff you can open on a linux box pales in comparison to what one with Windows can do.

There is a way to get Windows programs running on Linux, it's called W.I.N.E (WINE IS NOT AN EMULATOR), but it's not a very stable or reliable solution; on their site games with a 'gold' ranking merely start without issue, that goes for the other software as well. Basically the program creates instances of DirectX 9, .NET, and other necessities to launch a program so that it, well, doesn't fail. As a side effect, though, gaming on, say, Ubuntu, is going to be a pain in the ass if you don't have an overpowered machine because it's taking in more resources.

Haven't you heard? Wine isn't an acronym anymore, it's stylized as a word.

Linux isn't mainstream for consumer use. It's used quite a bit in the IT industry, especially for servers.
