I realized I hated the the dock project, so I started building a mining ship. Purely by accident, too. I just started placing down blocks, and this is what happened:

This is only a teaser image. I hope to finish this one. Not too big, so I shouldn't have much trouble. There's still a lot of hull that needs to be built (more than half the ship).

Well, I manged to completely ruin the mining vessel. I just didn't bother to plan out what it'd look like once it's done. I just started building with no idea what it was, and I built myself into a corner. Moral: plan your builds.

Anyway, my aspiration to make a bigger gun than Targareyan is coming to fruition. I still have to build some capacitors and the actual laser-light, but most of it is done. Here are some pictures:

Can you guess what is different about this gun?

Wow that looks amazing!, am i right in saying that this is going to dwarf my cannon completly?

are you serious about this
dont try to build bigger guns
make them more efficent
and smaller with more damage
thats what you need in the future
not some gun that can haul a planet

Yeah, efficient guns are also good, but having a giant laser death ray that wand cleave dreadnaughts in half is probably better

How the heck do you "completely ruin" this?

When I first saw you new build, I just thought "oh cool, he's finished the thrusters for his super cool ship!" Then I read what you wrote and was thoroughly disappointed. You should just slap that on the end of your mining ship, call it a thruster, and be done with it! It's even the same color scheme!

No. The cannon is too big to fit on the back of the mining ship. The problem is that the mining ship is too tall for its width, and to make it have a decent form, it would require me to make it a lot larger than expected. I'll try, but no promises.

I think the rectangleness make it look more industrial.
