Saw the Star Wars vs Star Trek topic. Even though this video came out when I was eight and, the animation quality isnt top notch, its pretty cool. This video should end any of these arguments ever. again. I present to you... star wars vs star trek vs battle star galactica vs babylon 5

Re: a battle to end all battles
the winners appear to be Star Trek and Babylon 5.

Re: a battle to end all battles
This is hardly an accurate and reliable source.
The music choice wasn't the best either but if it was made long ago, I suppose that's excusable.
Also, needs more Eradica.

Re: a battle to end all battles
The Halo one was really depressing
It seemed like the animator was under the impression both sides used exclusively one ship.
I dunno about the one in the OP, but I think I remember someone posting it on the old forum.

Re: a battle to end all battles
I posted something similar : Star Wars vs Star Trek Vs Babylon 5 vs FREESPACE OFC
(Guess who won ?). The Babylon thingies died first there because they were unlucky to be right in a middle of a bunch of star destroyers, the star destroyers followed, then the star trek ships which agilely avoided the Freespace Colossus’s 12 death beams :P . Anyway those things are inaccurate as hell ...

They're watching ...

Lol. This doesn't have any more bearing on the argument than that guy with his fanon Darth Bane stories on the old forum. It's a nice idea, but it bears very little relation to... anything, really. I don't know enough about the other franchises to tell whether they're right or not, but it looked like those Nebulon-B frigates were jumping with the Star Trek group, and they clearly weren't making any serious effort to get the ships to preform the way they actually would. The video wasn't very well done, although perhaps that's just the poor animation.CommanderKobialka wrote:This video should end any of these arguments ever. again.
Didn't someone do something like this in SoaSE? They modded it to add ships from various franchises and did their best to make them preform accurately. I still doubt they did a very good job, though.

I doubt someone would have done that because it would be pretty much impossible to balance.Last_Jedi_Standing wrote:Lol. Re: a battle to end all battles
They didn't try to balance it. They tried to make it accurate. I don't think the factions were complete enough to actually play Sins with; they just built some ships and put them in a gravity well to fight it out. I think Star Wars won, but I'm not certain.Pat22 wrote:I doubt someone would have done that because it would be pretty much impossible to balance.Last_Jedi_Standing wrote:Lol. Ah, I see. Because I don't know who would ever play that mod since the same faction would always win.

Re: a battle to end all battles
Because knowing you, you would win as NASA.

From what he's saying, it was used for cinematic purposes only.Pat22 wrote:Ah, I see. Because I don't know who would ever play that mod since the same faction would always win.
I think I'd play it, though. One faction having a recognizable but not completely overpowered advantage always makes things interesting for whomever's playing against them.
The Advent, for instance...(jk, jk)

Re: a battle to end all battles
this video makes no sense, the SDs should be MUCH bigger. A regular one is about a mile long.
Re: a battle to end all battles
Almost exactly a mile. They're 1600 meters even, and a mile is about 1609.blockman42 wrote:this video makes no sense, the SDs should be MUCH bigger. A regular one is about a mile long.
