Xbox Live
Consoles are going to die. However, I love Nintendo, so I feel a bit bad saying that.
I mean, does Xbox have any games a PC doesn't have? At all? I guess the kinect stuff, but seriously, that stuff is flat-out terrible.

There are a ton of console exclusives besides; Sony & Microsoft pay the developers to not do the extra work required to port to PC so more people feel the need to purchase what's essentially a neutered computer.

Who needs those silly games, while they are good, PC has much better games. Not to mention specs...Tiel wrote:Halo.Keon wrote:Consoles are going to die. However, I love Nintendo, so I feel a bit bad saying that.

Re: Xbox Live
The publishers say PC is a dying platform. I reject that notion! It's only a marketing ploy to make more money, going to consoles. Because PC's, as far as they are concerned, are not user friendly or whatnot.

Oh god the money grabbing
Re: Xbox Live
Not so much PCs are dying as consoles are getting more popular. The Xbox 360 is so cheap now, because it is ancient hardware, that more people are buying it. A PC is just simply more expensive, and requires more knowledge of the parts (CPUs, GPUS) not to get ripped off. With a console it is just plug and play. I know you all will hate me for saying this, but PCs are more expensive than consoles, and that is a major turning point. Including a monitor, GPU, and a replacement power supply to tack on to an already $400 pc gets expensive, though I plan to do this. Yes, with a console you need a TV too, but those are usually pre- existing in the living room, and you don't have to add a GPU and new power supply to a console. Now, this year the next gen Xbox and or PS3 will probably be released. Many people will be turned off by the $400 price tag of the new stuff, as opposed to the $200 and cheaper consoles available now. But, it will go through the same cycle, and the Console - PC wars will continue.

TL;DR: The average player of CoD is going to be scared and confused by all these options and big words. The price has something to do with it too.hyperlite wrote:Not so much PCs are dying as consoles are getting more popular. Okay, so I got Portal 2 on xbox, and I have to say that the controls for FPS suck. How do you play with that in a actually shooting FPS?
I mean, it's okay on Wii FPS games because you get to aim your controller to shoot peeps, but really.

some people get used to it ... OFC I don't think it is even close to mouse FPSs , this controller is historically more suitable for fighter games.
They're watching ...
