Ha. He deleted his post, so idk what he said, but we've been over it before. I don't know what he has against it; before I thought it was because of Flowerchild hates it (personal problems with the dev team behind forge) but apparently jedi has some issues with him as well.

More and more mods are converting to Forge everyday...it's the most powerful and stable API for Minecraft modding until the official one comes out in 1.9 or something.

Forge has a set of minecraft classes that are used by multiple mods. Usually this will make those mods incompatible with each other but forge merges those codes into one. As we are not working on compatibility with other mods we don't need forge (And I don't think that any forge in the world will make futurecraft compatible with anything )

Instead of talking to other classes in the game, you do all your talking through Forge. As nice as that would be, we don't have that luxury, because there are things we need to change which aren't on the map.

You know, to be childish for a moment, I can't wait until the forge-compatible ripoff of BTW is in a playable state. I'd love to see how much people would put up with FC and his crap then :P

No, it is one of the BTW banners. It says "We are the FORGE. Your creative and technological distinctiveness will adapt to serve us. Your original ideas will adapt to serve us. You will be assimilated. Resistance is... ESSENTIAL." It has a Borg cube on it, and it's not inflammatory at all. I uploaded it from ServImg because the BTW forum itself was being very slow and I couldn't get to the original one, so I got it from someone's sig on the MCF.

As for BWF, I don't think it's ever going to be really playable. They're still working on it, as far as anyone knows, but from what we saw it's already pretty crappily done, and they've barely started. Forge or no Forge, I think once that gets released it will be instantly obvious that it's not a functional mod.

Bleh. I don't like BTW myself so I probably wouldn't play it, but it would be interesting to see how many people would stay loyal to FC and how many would migrate to the new mod.

And while some of the people in Tekkit are in Forge as well, never have I seen any Forge devs act in such a manner that would justify the assertions in that image...there's a limit to how functional a mod can be if it keeps eating up smaller ones (Tekkit is a bloated mess right now) but the only one I've seen Forge devour is Modloader, which has backwards compatibility with Risugami's anyway. Until the official Mojang API comes out, or IF it does, because they're a bunch of goddamn procrastinators, Forge is the best solution for most MC mods.

Better With Forge itself is backed by LexManos. He keeps denying it (this is not the first time they've tried to practice revisionist history, either), but the launch of BWF was announced by a six-hour livestream, during which he spent several hours insulting Better Than Wolves and proclaiming the virtues of Better With Forge. He is now claiming that he has nothing to do with it. I mean, for god's sake, they named their modder FlowerAdult. That should tell you something about the level of maturity we're looking at. LexManos is the head of Forge development, and he's supporting the blatant stealing (I don't know what else to call this) of Better Than Wolves. They may not eat mods as directly as Tekkit does, but this kind of shit is a pretty clear indication of where they're going. "We ask modders politely wether they want to use Forge or not. And if they say no, we have our people copy their mod so what they say doesn't matter. That way everyone wins, right?"
