If you need a height mod, the only "one" working currently (last time I checked, and through no fault of Fr0stbyte), was the "Mineup Mod". Some guy built a 1km heigh Warhammer 40k ship, and he used MCedit to do it. You just need to create one world layer, then let the others be air. There is a way to use MCedit on each of the layers (separately), but I've never tried it. Apparently, it's also a pain to get things aligned, so be warned and plan ahead.
