I mean how the hell do you figure all this out? The same way we did in real life? We still don't have space ships and they want to do this? and a voyage to the new world took like 3 months I am not playing three months to get across the ocean and die of dysentery.
No, no. You die of dysentery on the ship. Once you're across the ocean you freeze and starve to death. You don't get to die of dysentery in the New World until you've got some colonies set up.
I went to the youtube page and the account has commented about these kinda things and explained almost nothing in doing so.
They commented about the dysentery?

They were vague it is so out of context that I can say yes to that.

Well concerning the whole distance between players thing, players will be forced to band together to fend of the wilderness ans other players. Apparently you spawn in proximity and can choose to spawn near friends. and the whole bombs versus spears thing, when discovered technology will have to be traded and such otherwise it wont benefit the people with it. How can nuking cave men help any one? We managed in real life to do this (Although real life didn't have a bunch of immature gamers wondering around saying "lawl lets kell dem n00bs ovar ther hehehehehehe").
Anything can be learnt, it is simply how willing you are to learn.

It's promising the moon, but has no evidence that it has the capabilities to do it. When they become seasoned game developers get back to me

To be fair, they may also just have a really crappy marketing guy who doesn't actually know the details of the project and is misrepresenting it.
Also worth remembering is that on the Minecraft Forum, we have one teaser video posted over a year ago and nothing new on the front page. We look like vaporware, too.

But yeah, realistically, if that were the case, I think a developer would have tried to do some damage control at some point in the last 2 months.

okay they do have a lot more info on their blog spot which tells a lot about how the game plays. It looks possible, but I am really skeptic. I am also hopeful.
