fr0stbyte said some things were hard to read. So the site wallpaper has been changed.
What some of you may notice, however, is that though the new background features user-created ships, they are all either made by Iv121 or hyperlite.
If you want to have a chance at your ship being permanently displayed on the board, by all means submit the associated world on this thread through the attachment feature.
RULES
Submitted ships must not be in a 'busy area', that is, clustered next to other ships in close proximity.
Vessels must not resemble genitalia or violate any other social norms.
Starcraft put forth MUST exceed twenty blocks in length, contributions looking like a donkey's behind will also not be considered.
Cinema 4D renders with exported Minecraft .obj files using Mineways. Gradually getting better at them..this one looks a lot less cartoonish than the one on my shipyards page

would you make a render of my eclipse once its done?
I would apply to put one of my ships on, probably an extinct or or a vivisector (when it's finished), but they Are too white, but I can recolour them.
Also, I saw something cool on a different forum, where the background image, each time ou refreshe stage page, was picked randomly from a gallery of images, would this be possible here?

Something I've been contemplating is having different 'styles' in viewing the forum. It's a feature that ships with phpbb by default but I disabled because a crapload of code had to be altered to accommodate this style's oddness.
What I'm thinking is instead having duplicates of this style in different colors with different backgrounds that could be selected by users in the CP. Sound good or is my fatigue showing?
If you have the spare time to create and maintain 5 more forums (That's how it's going to look like) then why not ? Usually you want to keep one style for easier use. For some styles the ranks or badges for example may look odd - you need to make new, pictures that users post will look differently, colored text might become invisible on different backgrounds. In my opinion it's too much trouble for too little gain.
