I COULD play it decently, but my computer that I would use for such currently has a broken motherboard and will only accept one RAM card - I have my 16 gigs in 4x4, which means I can only start up in 4BG RAM, not nearly enough to even launch SC.

I'm a good pilot in most other similar games, so no reason to believe I'll suck balls here (unless CR decides to control-scheme-troll).

Well, controls are fully tweakable by now and stuff like COMSTAB and G-SAVE make it pretty noob-proof while shit like decoupled mode or turning off the former makes for some pretty advanced maneuvering possibilities.
