Laruth is noticing increased galactic activity. So far nothing has become hostile and there have been no major encroachments on Laruthian territory. Long range scanner ships are being deployed to keep tabs on border planets. Several systems are being colonized in order to obtain as many resources as possible.

The Imperial colony fleet has reached Alpha Centauri. Colonists have begun to settle on a "garden-world."

Mars is being consolidated under the banner of the Orion Imperium. The self-proclaimed Imperator, August Tellaeya, has said that the Terran government is weak and should be cast away. Imperial paramilitary units have seized key shipyards and military stores in Mars orbit and on its surface.

Sigma Antares III - Npvus - has now declared independence under the flag of the Novan Commonwealth.

All available fighter squadrons have been set up on surface bases, and all armed ships in the fleet are being disarmed, the weapons shifted to defense satellites.

OOC: some groups are splintering off, but the TU is still about 80% of fucking humanity and the biggest non-owl faction around. While you are basically a paramilitary rebel group fighting for independence of a major core planet... yea, good luck with that.

The self-proclaimed Imperium has taken all of the ships it could (40 ships), and made a break for the colony in Alpha Centauri. Demolition charges were placed in the facilities raided on Mars.

The Terran Navy and Marines have moved in, damaging several retreating ships. 70 of the TN vessels chased the 'Imperium' fleet, the remainder staying behind to save as many facilities as possible and secure the planet.

The NR-Hierarchy colony fleet has discovered an industrial-age society living on the surface of the planet shortly after arrival. The fleet will not colonize the planet under NR-Hierarchy orders, but fortunately, the system contains a slightly smaller habitable world in orbit. This world was missed by initial scans, and the fleet will colonize this planet.
