Did someone say...

Heresy?

Fear not! The XCOM Inquisition is here! We shall purge the heretics together (with fire)!

Hm. An all-MEC squad with all flamethrowers...

So I got the game now during the sale, and one thing has become absolutely clear to me:
If aliens ever get the idea that it would be fun to mess us up, we're so totally and utterly fucked beyond any measure.

You haven't gotten to the ending yet, have you?
The ending explains why humanity wasn't extinct on day 1.

Also, I learned multiple sets of psi armour nets you multiple possible volunteers. I did not know this; but my 114-Will sniper went anyway, despite the other dude being available.

Fuck Chryssalids.

And no, I haven't got to the ending yet. It's my... third or fourth month or so. A third of the world has resigned, if they gave me more funding in the first place, I could protect them too, but if they decide to be childish and refuse what little help they could get, well, nothing I can do about it. Asian privilege, it is. Also, I'm really starting to like my team, that heavy survived being chased by about eight freaking chryssalids, I like that badass son of a *.

So you're either playing Classic/Impossible, or suck hard. Probably the former.

Also: Chryssalid, meet flamethrower.

I don't have flamethrowers. Yet. And I handled them (Except the first mission where my good team was still unable to do business except for two, who got instakilled by surprise. The rookies' death was a disaster, after that I restarted the game), nobody actually died from them since that one incident. And my main problem's just the money, if I could I'd post satellites all over, but I don't have the funds to do it at once. I'm getting ready to launch another one just right now, but the opposite side of the world will have to wait. No idea how I'm supposed to build more jets, let alone station them on other continents, though.

Oh, also all of my guys are at tier 5, two are on 6 even. They're getting real good by now, one medic, two heavies, three stormers and one sniper. They take them ugly baloonheads apart.

The discs are getting rather problematic, though. Should they get me in a real bad spot, I'm basically fucked. I could handle two, with rocket launchers and some fire support, but probably only one at a time. A group of them... would be bad.

Mate, make some HEAT ammo and SHIV it up their butts ;) , I easily got 10-12 DMG with this and also if you use flush on it early to get it out of cover mode then hit critical you can get all the way to 16.

I have no idea yet what Shiv means, or that there is heat ammo : DDDD

Soon, soon....
