The MR has taken back it previous - and admittedly quite unbelievable - statement that the attackers were a "spliner group" and is instead stating "we have absolutely no idea why they are attacking, but we don't think the CCCP is involved", which is why they have decided not to help the Strigiforme in their attack on the CCCP.

In the meantime, the MR is making way into former Zuguthian territory, claiming many of the now derelict systems.

Pirates and some of the remaining people in the former Zuguthian territories make resistance against the MR for "Disrupting our... supply lines" and "Takin' away our gosh-darned independence and stompin' on our rights", but most are okay with the MR taking control.

The Macaians have finally returned to the surface of Menya, outside the zone irradiated by Novan nukes. The few people remaining on the planet were mostly opposed to the Zuguthian government anyway and, after a little convincing, joined the Followers.
Old factories are being reprogrammed for Macaian schematics, and old temples to Macai are being reactivated.

To answer your request for the location of the Zuguthians, they have left this galaxy. Good luck building an intergalactic warpgate if you want to talk to them.
Also, this system is now under MR control.

The MR has released a statement directed at the left-behind Zuguthians, claiming that they will perform an extensive program to integrate them into the MR.
The Zuguthians have been offered MR citizenship and the structures inhabited by them as well as the associaterd property have been noted as officially belonging to them.
Other structures, including now-empty factories and laboratories, are being offered to companies and private people for very low prices, and the "Zuguthian Colonies" as the area is being called is being advertised as a place to live. "The infrastructure is already there, and we are giving companies a chance to expand there cheaply, creating tons of new jobs; plus the living costs are minimal."
The former Zuguthians have also been offered MR citizenship.

The Strigiforme have sent an offer to the Macai offering aide and membership in the SDI, on record of the prior cooperation and aid.

The Macaians are glad to hear that the "opressive Zuguthian scum" is no longer in the galaxy, however the MR taking the colonies have been received as less happy news.
They also gladly accept the Strigiforme offer and, after catching up with the history and current situation in the galaxy, they have asked for an alliance with the CCCP due to the "natural beauty of the Hexalan race".

The former Zuguthians on Menya politely declines the MR offer, and have, without any aggression or violence, divided the remaining structures on Menya amongst themselves and the Followers of Macai.

The Novans have stated very plainly to the Macaians that attempts to co quer other planets, uses of psi-or-non psionic bioweapons, military aggression, or attempts to use their "religion" offensively will be met with force, up to and including the complete glassing of their world.

This was sent with apologies to the Strigiforme, as "We had to nuke them once, we'd rather not have a repeat episode."

OOC: ACH, quantum tunneling has been practically observed to work instantly, surmounting any possible barrier. ever conceivable. There is never any transfer of energy, or matter, classically. It just switches positions. A dimensional barrier cannot stop it because quantum tunneling is function of the universe itself.

Change the rules of the universe where it's going, however, and it doesn't work. (AKA the red).

[Meta]A breakthrough in psionic stealth has been accomplished. A voluntary Strigiforme subject was tested with psionic power, and it was found that they act as a literal 'sink' for psionic energy. Subject reports no ill effects from receiving psionic energy.

A series of emitters could be established to mask psionic energy by sending the signatures through the Strigiforme subject.

Science team also believes that, in the event that the former does not work, a screen of 'white noise' of psionic energy could be projected to drown out other signals, no matter their intensity, through destructive interference. Signatures could also be intentionally warped in order to give false readings.

Psionic imbuing of the first capital-class weapons has completed, under a thick screen held up by Abaddon. The imbued weaponry shows a 30% increase in power and extra effectiveness towards psionic individuals, overloading power in an Area of Effect around the weapon. Work is ongoing.

Dimensional Shielding has been effectively miniaturized, but power usage remains an issue. Until a better solution can be found, NeoRoman N-Scale fusion reactors are to be installed on ships. [/Meta]

Due to the changed situation, MR forces have left the Macaian system.
OOC: The offer of citizenship was mainly aimed at the Zuguthians on other worlds. You know, because living in a country and citizenship are different things...

The Strigiforme have begun the process to add the Macaians to the SDI, and the SDI council has accepted the AUF's request.

The Strigiforme request that the MR evacuate the systems surrounding Menya, stating that those systems are the sovereign territory of the Macaians.

The systems immediately surrounding Menya have been left by the MR and their inhabitants have been informed that they have the choice to either leave with the MR or become part of the SDI.
Most have opted to leave.

Ivan fyi the few people who stayed in Zuguthian space were basically the Zuguthian version of bible belt Texans. A lot wouldn't want to join the MR.
