[Meta] AUF Research Personnel have discovered that psionically-imbued objects can completely destroy psionic beings and other equipment. This was encountered rather accidentally; a psionic-imbued fighter weapon was able to completely collapse a psionic-imbued frigate shield at only 50% power and completely fry the mechanism. The energy also completely vaporized a relatively powerful psionic in training, a full 50 meters from the test chamber. It is unlikely other empires are willing to imbue equipment psionically due to potential corruption, but the risk cannot be taken. However, anti-psionic weapons will be developed and utilized in a new Armada to counter the rising psionic threat, especially against the Laruthians (who have been monitored since they reappeared) [/meta]

A cardboard wall with ministations and T/S launchers and superMACs and wormhole gun-things (what're we calling it again?) plus whatever we innovate between now and then behind it ready to obliterate anything that goes through it.

Strigiforme work to improve subspace disrupters have yielded fruit; production of them has been cheapened greatly, enabling larger scale production in defensive works. The devices force objects out of subspace, and as such can severely slow down an enemy force and prevent them from circumventing planetary defences. These disrupters will be positioned to make entry to the Strigiforme Empire outside of planetary zones far more difficult. Additionally, key sites such as the Ringworld and major planets will have networks of these surrounding them, giving the point defences more time to shoot down the incoming missiles. With this great breakthrough, the Strigiforme R&D department is now moving to develop a new, even more powerful Yttrium bomb, along with the construction of a third Barrage Cannon.

On Cuuyth, several areas of historic downtown Cuuyth are being prepared for the upcoming dignitary visit. These areas will be screened by the Cuuyth Home Guard themselves, the best trained soldiers in the Empire. These areas include the whole of Ptyyriik Street, with its richly coloured storefronts, and the smells of exotic spices permeating it, and the Dyytrii Plaza, the heart of Cuuyth itself.
