"Sir?" One of the officers on the bridge walked up to the Captain, Garan Keryals. A legendary pilot in NeoRoman times, now monitoring Novan and MR relations and transports. They had been here for four weeks now, beyond any traffic in the system, using the NeoRoman's old sensor ships to monitor the entire system. The entire operation was psionically obfuscated and jammed, and the ship was completely hidden using an entropic cloak. They were taking no chances. Garan turned to the officer from his perch on the bridge.

"Report," Garan said.

"The Novan ship CSV Repulse has arrived with escorts over the capital. We believe they are carrying medical equipment back to Novan space."

"Do we know which route they're taking?"

"No sir. We've been unable to intercept any transmissions without risk of detection. We're purely limited to scanning."

"Very well." Garan walked up to the console in front of him and pressed a few buttons, opening up a Quantum-Entanglement data link to the Torus. He entered in a few lines, passwords and authorization codes, before stepping back. "Captain Garan reporting with news."

"Continue," replied the Torus. Garan recognized it as Randall's voice.

"We've detected a Novan destroyer and a convoy docking over the Mobian capital. We believe they're picking up medical equipment from the capital to take back to Novan space."

"Have you been detected?"

"No sir." A pause.

"Do you know their path of departure?"

"No sir. We cannot intercept transmissions without risk of detection."

"Then tail them. Follow them into neutral space. We will keep constant observation of the situation, and we'll spring an ambush from the Torus when we feel its time. Do not let yourself get detected." The channel shut off. Garan noted a blinking light on the console; the link was still active. He turned to the bridge.

"Prepare to follow the convoy upon departure. Fully silent, reduce aperture by 50% and keep it locked on that destroyer. Stay outside of all sensor ranges and ensure that no psionic obfuscater overheats. Cycle the systems when necessary. We're running them to full when they leave."

"But what if we don't get full membership?"

"Then I hope they've got [APPROXIMATELY 120% OF COST] on hand, plus whatever we can wedge in on the deal and I'll give clearance on installation of that kill switch."

OOC: Fun fact, Fen - jump drives can go from MR space to Andromeda JumpGate in one go, so tracking them and/or catching them is damn near impossubru, sorry.

With the equipment and supplies aboard, the Novan group is charging their drives for a return to Sigma Antares and the patrol fleet there.

(Meta) three Prowlers have been deployed around Novan Milky Way systems; they are looking for any other nation's probes, ships, or similar.

It's a multinational titan headed by the MR for the UGC. As the Tajer are in the UGC, they will be provided access to the titan, so yes, it is partly your titan.

The MR has also stated that the Titan will serve as a joint-UGC ship in times of war or upon majority vote for specific tasks, further encouraging other UGC members to supply parts and materials for it.

@Tajer the post directly after the one where I announced I was building a titan.

As the MR Titan production has stalled due to having to wait for negotiations with Darkstar and Hexalan (Darkstar because they decide whether Hexalan gets full UGC membership), the MR has brought up the negotiations for MR psionic equipment for the Tajer UGC titan again. The terms of joint-usage mentioned by the Tajer, which are effectively identical with those the MR uses, have been accepted. "However, all supplied equipment will be techlocked and of course, for this to work, the Tajer would have to actually resume production of their titan.", an official states, and also adds that "the project that has replaced the Tajer titan is far too big to complete in any reasonable ammount of time and should be persued only after its completion"

"Frigates are ready for jump?"

"Yessir."

"Spin up drives, and send the order to jump; FLEETCOM'll have our asses if we hang around with this stuff onboard."

The three ships spun up their jump drives; the computers finished calculations and sent a final departure notice before activiating the drives, flinging the warahips over thousands of light years in an instant.

"Spindown initiated. Both escorts on RADAR. Sensors paint the Aegis and her posse over Nova Sibyrsk, inbound. Gate's warmed up and ready."

"Eh, move to join the fleet. I have a bet to collect from Commander Moreau."

The helmsman chuckled. "Aye, Commander."

[Professor Fenway]

Garan switched on the channel. "Torus, this is Garan reporting. We've plotted the course of the convoy to Sigma Antares. The Novan jump gate is there."

"Good work. Prepare to follow." The channel shut off, and Randall switched channels to Abaddon. "Prepare FTL disruption and all obfuscation. Torus portal 3 will insert you directly in their path. I want this quick and quiet."

"Acknowledged," replied Two, the leader of Abaddon. Randall pressed a few commands on the console.

"Portal is open. Go." As he spoke, one of the crystals created a portal. Eight ships; two FTL disruption ships, two sensor and communication disrupters, three battleships, and the Abaddon--a specialized destroyer with extensive psionic obfuscators and jammers, and armed with extensive weaponry and shielding--went through the now open portal into deep space, right in the convoy's path. The portal closed behind them.

OOC: I will ambush, one way or another. BTW, Abaddon has 10 super-psionics and the most advanced AUF tech available; this has been planned for months in advance.

Fuck. I wrote that post before you wrote yours, but you posted yours first. I meant to intercept in FTL, not at the system.

Novan FTL in instantaneous, interdicting it is actually impossible. So now you're either a) off course or b) in Sigma Antares - the former Novan home system - with a patrol fleet nearby. I'll assume option two.

The patrol fleet, detecting an anomaly, altered course; with the destroyer and two frigates joining them, the flak cruiser, two artillery cruisers, five destroyers and four frigates all moved to intercept the clearly AUF vessels. A hail was sent;

"Antioch vessels, this is Commander Moreau of the CSV Aegis. Please identify yourself, state your intentions, and lay in a course out of the system."

Repulse, plus the frigates of the patrol fleet, peeled off and headed for the JumpGate, behind the fleet; it lit up and the ship-gate link began mass and jump calculations.

The MR has announced two new systems for their ground forces.
The P-LMG-3 (Psionic Light Machine Gun Mk.3) is, as the name suggests, a psionic LMG-role energy weapon. It utilizes "Chaos Drive" psionic energy generators which operate on a similar principle as Chaos Emeralds, but obviously much weaker and far easier and cheaper to produce. This special type of power supply allows the gun to not require any type of ammo and fire indefinitely without reloading at the cost of a lower fireing rate than comperable models, making it ideal for supression, which is after all the primary purpose of LMGs. The MR is going to replace all other LMGs with these new weapons and offers a techlocked version of the weapon for purchase to other UGC members.
The Diablon mech, a design dating back to the opposition forces near the end of the Second Robotnik War, is also being revived and will supply the Legion with a modern heavy mech to replace the old EE models still in service.

[meta]The Mobian Draco colonies have been restored to the state they were in before the ARK invasion. Local robot production resumes, with now purely military robots also being produced in large numbers. Simultaniously, the Laruthian drone cores have been shipped to the shipyard there and are going to be used for the construction of a new variant of the Halberd-class destroyer, operated by a drone core and maintained entirely by robots, trading the no longer required crew space for an extended hangar (also filled with drones, obviously) and a large compartement for ground battle robots and/or cargo, making it an excellent tool for invasions as well as allowing logistical roles.[/meta]
