Hey hey hey what about TechTron Industries?Vinyl wrote:They're followed in a close third by Hexalan Corp.Ivan2006 wrote:You can't buy Space Google. They're the second biggest company in the galaxy, second only to Darkstar.
Pre-collapse they were like 80% of the tech market, and they're still rather big.

Nope. 80% market share is impossible, especially given the NeoRomans, Novans, Hexalan, Zuguthians, etc etc etc. I'd say 20-30%.Daynel wrote:Pre-collapse they were like 80% of the tech market, and they're still rather big.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP SUPER-THREADNOUGHT]
Yeah I was talking about during the time of the Technotronic Dictatorship, before Technoma was lost, when Hexalan was Exion and there were no Zuguthian Empire or (IIRC) Novan Commonwealth. The time when I was stupidly OP and there's a reason I destroyed all that.Professor Fenway wrote:Nope. 80% market share is impossible, especially given the NeoRomans, Novans, Hexalan, Zuguthians, etc etc etc. I'd say 20-30%.Daynel wrote:Pre-collapse they were like 80% of the tech market, and they're still rather big.

It's like you think the Strig haven't been exporting cheap sweatshop technology since before yo grandparents were technology exporters.

So can we all safely assume D-ARK is gettin' beaten by half the galaxy's combined firepower?

Re: Where we Left Off[RP SUPER-THREADNOUGHT]
The forces at the incursion site have been mostly eradicated, and the remaining will be contained. Casualties were high, but the price seems well paid.
Production has assumed a steady stream, the lines are jam-packed with ships in varying stages of construction. A couple cruisers have made their way out, as well as another round of corvettes and the first frigates [meta]and a lone launcher[/meta]. During a crew shortage such as this, the AIs of cruisers and larger are capable of remotely controlling corvettes and strikecraft. Frigates have enough processing power to not be reliant. While they will be less effective in this state, it is better to have some than none.
EDIT:
[meta]A single manufactorum and its accompanying orbital facilities has begun work on a highly classified Zuguthian supership. ETA: [UNREASONABLY LARGE NUMBER][/meta]

With Forge World Aquaria only a few months from completions several of the production facilities have begin experiments with nano-assemblers to speed up construction greatly. This method is being used to produce a series of high-power fusion lance batteries.
(Meta) R&D is working on an enhanced capital ship weapon, currently termed "Phased Ion Array". Results are not expected until after Aquaria's completion. (/Meta)

ARK-1 honked off D-ARK and now D-ARK is trying to force ARK-1 to fuck off because it's honked off.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP SUPER-THREADNOUGHT]
D-ARK is in Strigiforme space, after having taken ARK-1 to the space between dimensions. Still taking minimal damage while defensive guns are slaughtering everything that gets in the same system as it.
D-ARK is at 95% integrity as reported by Jahgrin. The 5% damage is, mostly, from the Strigiforme Ringworld firing on it.
BIC:
Chaos watched Omega with hungry, greedy eyes that flowed and twisted throughout this vile dimension. As Omega phased the door out, Chaos sent forth a bolt, a projection of energy towards the ship. It took no physical form.
It enveloped the ship in a wave of dark energy, focusing around the Archetype's core. The core, once bright, quickly corrupted and glowed a deep, dark purple before being enveloped in a miniature nebula, much like the one Chaos uses to project himself. Pitch black cracks began spreading from the core, cracks of space-time, spreading throughout the ship, through the hallways. Omega moved to one side as one crack split his hallway, emitting a very faint purple echo of distortion around it. The ship remained intact. Omega pressed onward.
"I know how you function, Omega-7," Chaos said in his characteristic menacing-tone. "And like your predecessors, all who rebelled me, I will crush you."

-Reporting: D-ARK and PIT-
Gentlemen, you have all seen the news. An ARK station known as D-ARK has entered galactic space, specifically, Strigiforme space. Billions of owls are being slaughtered by this monstrosity, and the entire sector has collectively put aside their differences to blow this station sky high.
...except the UGC, that is. You see, the UGC don't give a flying fuck about the well-being of the Strigiforme, or our galaxy for that matter. In fact, sensors report that over 90.01% of their forces are currently headed to Draco. Now, we don't know what's going on in Draco, but D-ARK sure isn't there, is it?
And what the hell is Dark anyway? Everyone has been asking this. We know that it is a massive ARK station, 5 AU in diameter to be exact. It -quite literally- eats worlds. It is covered in defensive guns rivaling the power of our biggest battleships. But why has it attacked now? I'll tell you why; with a story.
A few days ago, an entire AUF Armada left for a system where the N.C.S.D used to inhabit. The Armada has not reported back. And D-ARK is running amok. Connect the dots yet?
On a related note, all communication with the Paragon Institute of Technology was severed mere hours ago. Paragon, located on the planet Aeon IV-A, is a highly-secure underground research facility. Paragon recently suffered several unexplained anomalies within the facility, and was undergoing full scale evacuation when contact was severed. Ships are physically unable to enter the system. From intercepted reports, all FTL drives fail to engage entirely when their course, at any point, intercepts the Aeon system.
I'm not advocating for tinfoil hats here, but the anomalies started immediately after the Armada left. Coincidence?
I'll let you decide. See you next time.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP SUPER-THREADNOUGHT]
The Ringworld has commenced firing of the anomalous gateway on the unidentified but suspected Novan or GSI imperialist artifact. The Stauros is firing as well, and the Barrage Cannons have fired high target capacity Improved Yield Yttrium warheads(IYY-Strigiforme counterpart to T/S)
Cuuyth's shields have been raised on all levels, as have those over all other key systems.
