"Issue, Laura," JAG responded in the room auxiliary control room. "To reorient the solar panels, again, requires an excursion through an exposed corridor. It is atmosphere shielded, but the radiation is bad enough as it is. Without the shields, its suicide. I have not yet ejected the module due to this contingency."

"On a slightly related note, I have translated every console on the ship. You don't need to thank me."

"I won't, then." replied Val. Affixing a circular device to her belt, she nodded in the general direction of JAG. "Point me at an airlock; this thing should give me... call it ten minutes outside to find and mess with the solar array." she said, donning a facemask and checking it.

James ignored the weird speaker voice talking about electronics like they had feelings and responded "Il go along with the changeling, But any funny business and I start shooting people!" while saying this he moved back around towards the door and peeked out at [Vinyl] suspiciously.

Hexalan sheathed her pistol. "If we're done with this, I'd like to get to work helping us not die." Probably not needing the helmet anymore, she took it off, clipping it to her belt, and taking out a small cylinder with a nozzle on the front (it's a miniature plasma welder, standard issue for an A9) from the belt. "If you'll excuse me, I'm off to seal some bulkheads."

"I've established a passive wireless connection with the ship, so I should be able to interface from this console," JAG said to Val. "But the solar arrays cannot be manually calibrated. Specifically, they aren't even extended. The control unit is behind an exposed corridor, as I've said. Insert me into the control unit's hardlink and I can get everything going." JAG partially ejected from the slot, protruding just enough for Val to grab him.

-To Hexalan-
"I've marked the corridors needing sealing on your map," JAG said. "Your HUD will highlight them."

"What about the rest?"

"Unless you want to fetch their supplies by dancing all around the ship exterior, these ones will remain unsealed."

Val cycled the hatch behind her closed. Clipping JAG to her belt, she activated the personal barrier and opened the outer door; red strobes flashed as she jogged down the exposed hall.

"Any idea what caused all this damage? Weapons, maybe?" she asked as she cycled into a door on the far side.

"You could propably help with keeping the ship from falling apart, too. And before you ask, none of us know how we got here either.", bossy said to James(if that's the name of the Tajer?) "we seem to have some hull breaches, and you have a spacesuit. I will go to the control room we found, monitoring the data and stuff. I'd like to still know of important happenings concerning the ship's systems while the AI is not there. I'll tell you what we know so far with my psionic transmitter in the meantime." He pointed at his headpiece and left for the control room.

"Appears to be weapons fire, but not of any known weapon."

"Not any?" Val seemed skeptical.

"I'm detecting traces of every single weapon in existence," JAG said. "Singularity beams, PPC Cannons, Phoenix Cannons, Tachyon-Subspace warheads, Yttrium explosives, Fusion Coil Splicers, even ARK weaponry." He paused. "This ship is the successful synthesis of every empire and its technology. And it was embroiled in a bitter civil war."

"How do you figure?" JAG sighed.

"I don't know." As they came to the first extremely damaged section, JAG piped up. "Avoid the sunlight at all costs. It will burn through your shield very easily." Tough, since the entire corridor ahead was filled with gaps and debris.

"Hmm. Are you detecting any subspace distortions or rifts nearby?" inquired Val.

Laura "coughed". "If you're thinking what I believe you'r-"

"Relax. I've done this before. JAG?"

"I didn't even think of looking there!" JAG paused and beeped several times. "I'm detecting a ship-sized signature in subspace, as well as an absolutely gigantic subspace rift through the entire section. Especially in damaged areas." He paused. "I think the rest of the ship is in subspace."

"Well, in that case, my job just got easier."

"You're insane." deadpanned Laura.

"Hardly." Val replied, irises alight with the telltale green glow of psionics, "I'm bloody mad."

With that, she gathered herself and threw herself forward, subspace tunnel opening to recieve her. Barely a millisecond later, she emerged on the far side.

"See? Told you I'd be fine."

"You're still insane."

JAG didn't respond. 5 seconds, passed, then 10 seconds. Val took JAG out of her pocket, and the box was blinking red. On and off, a deep crimson red. It was not responding to anything.

"Y'know, if something were to ever go right in this universe, I'd suspect it was broken." muttered Val, heading to the contol station. Finding the slot, she inserted JAG's cube, then spoke to Laura.

"Find out why he's on the fritz. If it's subspace interference, give him a kick in the teeth."

"Will do."

The cube blinked one last time before blinking off for a few seconds. It returned to its normal blue coloration after a second. "Warn me if you do that again," he said, almost immediately.

"No asking what happened?"

"You interrupted my hyper-pulse connection to my hyperspace server," JAG said. "This box is merely a physical projection. 99% of my being exists in hyperspace."

"Spare me the details and get the panels working."

"Will do." JAG disappeared into the panel. After a second, the ship rumbled. "I broke something," he said with alarm. "But I can fix it."

OOC: For whatever reason, the forum didn't tell me about these posts. The death of this will not be on my hands.
BIC:
Coming to the first marked position, she stopped in front of the door. Simple enough then. The helmet automatically dimmed when the light flourished out of the end of the welder. Holding it to the door a few moments, the metal melted, almost imperceptibly so, but the HUD said it was fine, so she continued all the way down the seam. Then, for good measure, fused the entire thing into place.
"I'd say that's good. One down, quite a few to go."
