"All fleets, this is the Commander. Relay is online. All ships, form up and jump now. Remember your assignments."
The fleet moved, approaching the Relay, indivdual forces splitting into formations and clusters.
"Through the Relay in thirty seconds."
(Some ambiance: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTsD2FjmLswl
The relay glowed; and the ships began vanishing, shooting forwards at superluminal speeds. Wave after wave vanished, leaving shimmering trails.
//System M5R-209 - ARK Fleet Rally Point//
With a dull blue flash, the first of the ships arrived. Ready for battle, it lit its drives and powered forwards at the amassed enemies.
Following it came the Phantom Fleet.
1,700 ships; NeoRoman, AUF, Mobian, Novan, mercenary, Hexalani. The starfield lit up with jump-flashes as the allied forces arrived, fleets breaking off towards their targets and driving forwards. The fleet commander opened the comm-link once again, with a very simple order:
"All ships. You are weapons-free. Kill them all."

Re: Where we Left Off[RP SUPER-THREADNOUGHT]
Across the large field of Hexalani vessels, massive fire balls hurtled from their prows into the ARK ships. Having begun charging their splicers prior to jumping, they were nearly done, and as they were, targets were being lined up.
Strikecraft poured out of the majority of the ships, ranging from simple interceptors to large pinnaces, and even a few frigates.
Aboard the Heartwriter, the CIC was near chaos, despite being optimized for coordinating engagements, never for one this large, Hexalani command centers simply weren't meant to handle these kinds of loads, as normally their forces were so spread out there would never be more than 5 or 6 fleets in a single battle.
Admiral Hawkeye, taking Scratchovski's place at the helm of the massive dreadnought, stood before the viewing port, the MAC rounds flying away from right under her feet. Most larger ships carried enough for a few hours of sustained fire, and recently were (mostly) tipped with T/S warheads.

The Strigiforme scanners nearby have detected an anomalous force, and fleets have been dispatched to the nearby Strigiforme regions to defend them from hostile incursions.

The Strig see this as a trap for them, btw.

Suul checked, that his formal, a bit ceremonial robe was donned correctly, although none of the listeners would ever notice if it didn't. All four of them didn't wear a combat suit. Why should they, if the other side wanted them dead, it would just cost them an order. Before he reached the lectern, he talked to Icho: "Do you read something?" Suul made sure, that nobody else would hear this. "Well, we have what you would expect, curiosity, a bit of fear, some nervousness, they seem to have peace in this galaxy, an uneasy one at least. This installation we're in is a rather secret location, except for the alliance of these peoples, called UGC, nobody seems to have seen us arrive." Icho ended his sentence when Suul reached the lectern.
"Thank you all for coming," he said. "As you know, we have crash landed here and thanks to the kind help of the Tajern, we were not attacked. However, I have to make a confession, which should not be heard by everybody." Now things began to get interesting. Suul calculated how much of the true mission of the Satoshi he should mention, mentioning the Chaopressors could be a risky move. "The Satoshi didn't just crash land with an experimental engine. The engine is experimental, but we were sent here on purpose. We are on a mission to protect your galaxy and in the same time save ours." He saw wrinkles on the forehead of some people. "Our galaxy is ill. A very dangerous plague is spreading throughout it. The so called "Necrophore" it can spread through air and even the vacuum of space and kills every living being within two weeks." Some of the faces in the audience became pale, then deathly pale. "Don't worry, we and our ship are abacterial, but we don't have much time. This is why we are here. We are here to find a cure and bring it back into our own galaxy." What he just said was a factoid. The Chaopressors did actually use the Necrophore, but it didn't spread through space, it spread with the Chaopressors. His plan was to get as many informations on the weapons of this galaxy and possibly a way to reproduce them. When he was satisfied, he would suddenly find "the cure" and then equip this galaxy with it, as he was sure, that if the Chaopressors weren't stopped in his galaxy they would most likely come to this one as well."That's why we need the rights to travel through this galaxy freely and talk to many of your scientists. If you have any questions, please ask now." The room instantly filled with the noise of many people asking something.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP SUPER-THREADNOUGHT]
The Tajerian diplomat Analyst Lindfregh mulled over Suul's statement, 'a disease? We've handled many of those, this will be easy. But yet a disease? Hardly something challenging enough to require gambling on another galaxy to fix. This is too questionable, best play it safe'. Standing up he waved his hand silencing the others and stated "We are no strangers to diseases of all kind, it would take us hardly a week to cure even the most confounding viruses or bacteria. It would be overkill to scour the galaxies for something as benign as a disease treatment. But I must point out something, you stated your ship and crew are abacterial? Then how do you plan to find a cure for a disease you don't have on hand?" With that Lindfregh sat back down in his chair with a curious look.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP SUPER-THREADNOUGHT]
ARK-1 burst out of sunspace into the newly named Valhalla system with a deafening roar.
"So much for subtlety" Omega mused.
The life program was almost ready for distribution, key units had been relocated by remote control, as soon as the program came online, there was a lot of work to do.
Omega began releasing the docking clamps on the Archetype, it already carried enough equipment to extensively explore the surrounding planets. Launching the rest of the fleet would not be an option until more units were online, so for now the Archetype would be the only space bound vessel.
OOC: can someone tell me what the fuck is going on with this ARK force thing?

The ARKs of the Draco-something galaxy are hellbent on wiping out organic life and came to the Milky Way to do so, and a huge fleet was raised to meet them and give them a solid smack.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP SUPER-THREADNOUGHT]
The Heaven's End lead the initial charge, Jahgrin at the helm. He watched as they began cutting through the defenses. Their ships had reflective shielding of their own, and thus shielded the rest of the ships. To the left, a hellfire mine broke through the MR's screen and detonated against the Firefly's hull; a massive hole marked where the crew quarters once were. A green light on the console in front of him indicated the main weapons were ready. "Fire on my mark," he said to his fleet. He was waiting for more targets. After a second, an ARK battleship appeared from behind the main line. "Fire."
A thousand pitch black beams spat out from the NeoRoman ships; Singularity Beam Cannons. Resembling the event horizon's of black holes, they bent light behind them and disintegrated everything they contacted. The entire ARK fleet in front of them fell away, torn to shreds in seconds. A small victory; but there were thousands of more ships. This was only a smaller fleet. "Well done gentlemen. Prepare for the next wave."
The AI piped up. "3 mobile battle-stations approaching." Jahgrin switched his channel to the Emperor's Will
"Prepare the Tachyon Subspace Warheads and fire on my mark. Three to each battle-station."
-ELSEWHERE-
Nearly simultaneous to the combined assault on the beachhead, nearly 10,000 ARK ships have begun a massive assault on the Draco colonies, working their way towards the gate (OOC: Basically, throw ARK's at the problem until problem goes away). Approximately 10 ARK stations are preparing subspace jumps into Draco colonies.
-ELSEWHERE-
As ARK-1 warped into Valhalla, the AUF scout force jumped in a significant distance away. Equipped with a Watchtower sensor ship, they briefly make an observation before leaving the system the second their jump drives charge. A priority message is relayed to the AUF military, and then the government, directly to Randall, and subsequently, Delta-Aquila;
-ALERT-
A fully functional ARK Station has warped in to the system 776a-GHZ. ((Valhalla, as you call it))
Sensors indicate the launch of a dreadnought-class battleship as well as increasing industrial and electronic activity in the station.
Recommend immediate destruction before threat becomes unstoppable.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP SUPER-THREADNOUGHT]
Jade has constructed a few more shipyards. ((I'm working on the stats for these. I'd also like to note that they're mainly for me...))
Having constructed a few scouting boats Jade sent them to the surrounding systems, spending at most 3 seconds in each system sending a subspace sensor ping, waiting for it's return, then leaving.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP SUPER-THREADNOUGHT]
Meinholl watched from the CIC of the Pegasus as the NeoRomans laid into the ARK fleet.
"Main batteries, sync with the flagship and heavies. Memory calls targets."
As the ships transmitted data back and forth, the Novan fleet fired, concentrating their magnetohydrodynamic weapons - and two prototype Subspace Directed Energy Beams - on one of the ARK cruiser-analogues, punching clear throuh the hull. As they selected another target, a single Prowler dropped stealth behind enemy lines.
Targeting the ARK warp gate, it opened its VLS tubes and let fly with all of the weapons at its disposal. Twelve thermonuclear and eight Tachyon-Subspace warheads took off towards the gate, the stealth frigate providing guidance and an ECM screen.
Several ARK frigates turned, intending to wipe it from existence, but the spinal-mount batteries of Distant Memory spoke, shattering two of them and prioritizing the dreadnought as a target.
The missiles accelerated, their simple minds obeying the commands relayed by their masters.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP SUPER-THREADNOUGHT]
As the missiles approached, the gate interior sparked and flashed as the vortex sequence was initiated. The center began swirling as the sub-space portal began opening.
One of the ARK frigates put on a burst of speed and wedged itself just in front of the missiles. Unable to turn in time, the first thermonuclear warhead smashed into its shield and detonated, vaporizing every missile in a flash of blinding light. The frigate, slightly dazed, drifted for a second before reactivating engines and rejoining the fight.
Two NeoRoman ships, the Goliath and its sister ship David, fired a several singularity beams at the jumpgate. The beams connected with the gate, and a bright shield danced out from it. After a few seconds, Goliath and David buckled and detonated. The gate was left untouched.
Jahgrin looked at the gate with a look of concern on his face, from his bridge. "The gate should not have reflective shielding!" he yelled at the AI. "It should not have survived that!"
"The gate is drawing power for the shield from something on the other side," the AI responded. "You will not be able to destroy it from here. The shield strength outclasses all weaponry the fleet possesses." Jahgrin sighed and switched on the transmitter.
"Heaven's End to all ships. The gate cannot be destroyed from this side. We are going through it."
OOC: Shadow, these ships ain't strong like the ones on the beachhead. ALL the ships in the beachhead are brand new and fully functional. The ships attacking the Draco colonies are all old (on the order of MILLIONS to BILLIONS of years). Not all of them are fully functional, but enough to fight. There's a lot, but in terms of power and strength, one ARK battleship = one Tajer/Darkstar Cruiser

The Phantom Fleet Commander nodded grimly.
"All ships, all ships. Continue firing, but standby to jump with immediate combat readiness on the far side. The gate decided it doesn't want to die today."
The D-A fleet reoriented, still punching out slugs and beams, and formed up on the NeoRomans; the Novan fleet followed, with the Prowler returning to the formation, fighters returning to their bays.

"Sir, should we go with them, the Empire will still take time to build its fleet - we'd have no worthwhile response fleets. Besides, I'm sure the others could handle themselves on the other side."
"We only know that on the other side is the power source, for all we know it could be a slaughter."
"But there is the possibility that it won't be, and we'll be trapped wherever-the-hell there is. Besides, these ships aren't made for close quarters."
The Admiral thought for a moment, "All ships, hold position. The Novans and NeoRomans will have reduced effectiveness on the move, so let's lend some covering fire."
