Compressed air is quite useful, though.

You can make compressed air with your lungs and a straw! Why the fuck would you pay $10 for an alluminum can of air!?

First of all, canned "compressed air" is actually a mix of various non-breathable gases. If you try to breathe from it, you're likely to die.

Just buy a small electric air compressor.

When I say compressed air I think about that stuff divers need to breathe and let me tell you that is pretty damn useful.
And yeah, bottled water is a huge scam. Especially in places like where I live, where we can get that "refreshing mineral water" from "ancient water sources in the mountains" straight out of the tap.
And you city people, well, you get the water mineraled for you, so I guess bottled water is useless to you too.
The bottles are handy, though.

Since divers were mentioned, just to avoid any confusion: Diving with a tank of oxygen makes you die. You use air, or other less-oxygenated gas mixtures if you're going really deep.

It's kind of neccesary where I live, though. Where the local water tastes like shit, gives you stomach aches, and probably has carcinogens from an old transformer plant upstream that dumped oil into the Etowah river et al for 50 years.
