I trust Proto; he can put the monies towards the FC Official Server, get some real use out of it.

Of course. I really meant Tau, Tell, and Proto since they all handle money around futurecraft.ACH0225 wrote:I trust Proto; he can put the monies towards the FC Official Server, get some real use out of it.

Re: FutureTube
Bleh we'll deal with it later. Tell will the server be up tomorrow? I want to make a flagship video for the channel/server prerelease/FC mod pack advertisement.

Re: FutureTube
Id suggest you focus on FC Flan's spotlights as your main dish even though a rare one. If you plan to go public do me a favor and do a quality control of your stuff and clean out the trash, nobody needs those 5 sec vids and ACH staring at them for 30 secs (followed by 30 secs of credits for the same person) , that kind of crap will make ppl to run away from you as far as they can. Also less MC more other unique stuff, search for unexplored games , for stuff ppl usually dont make playthroughs for, yeah there are vids for everything but Im pretty sure you will be fine sharing the pool with other less known channels, that is why I also tell you to stay away from MC, its oversaturated with stuff ( most of which is trash) , for MC do the Flan's spotlights and other unique stuff like that and then you'll get much more out of this game.
I cannot promise youll be a hit if you listen to me but I can promise you that you will fail if you don't.
Also no more than two vids per day for overall of 40 mins. preferable time per day is 20-30 mins.

Re: FutureTube
In the first episode I was on my mac so I used QuickTime Player, then imovie to render and publish it. On my desktop I used the open broadcast software to record then Sony Vegas Pro 12 to edit and publish.
Also..

Re: FutureTube
I use FRAPS to record and VideoPad editor.
Also, where did you get those numbers ("Also no more than two vids per day for overall of 40 mins. preferable time per day is 20-30 mins.") from, Iv?
But I do agree, Futurebusa sucks so far, and would be better used internally, and the type (includes ACHO.avi) doesn't really fit the channel.

Well aren't you a pessimist. Iv I'm not expecting us to get a million subs or anything, quite frankly I'd be very surprised if we hit 1000. I'm doing this for a couple of reasons: 1) To have some money (If not much) so we can keep the forum and (hopefully) the server running. 2) It is sort of exciting to be doing this, but also I want to have some fun times with you guys. 3) To review/play through games and tell the world what I think. There are some other reasons I can't think on the top of my head but hopefully you get the point. For the bit about the ACH videos: THOSE WERE HILARIOUS! I have no idea what you thought but that video gave me something to laugh about the entire day. Maybe you don't find them funny but the rest of the forum does. For the bit about minecraft: We have not done ONE video on minecraft yet. Yes we probably will to do a trailer there or a tutorial here but we're not going to do a lets play on it.Iv121 wrote:Id suggest you focus on FC Flan's spotlights as your main dish even though a rare one. Re: FutureTube
Well I'm gonna do a Mirror's Edge episode or two, so don't expect me to be available for anything for the next while.

Re: FutureTube
I'm probably gonna move those Futurbusa videos into a deep dark folder somewhere or set them to private, they look more like practice videos then any serious content.

Re: FutureTube
Apart from it being the standard for most channels I thought about two things:
1. The pressure put on the viewer by a lot of content.
2. The amount we are capable of producing at a constant rate.
1. Keep in mind you are not the only youtube channel that is on the list of your viewers, its true that there are some ppl who got nothing to do and can sit all day watch youtube videos but most of us can watch only so much per day. Its important especially for series not to post too many videos at once. In order to fully enjoy the videos your viewers will need to invest time and watch the episodes leading to the current to understand what's going on (not true to all series and creators but applicable in most cases). If you release a hour of footage per day it puts a huge pressure on the viewer who wants to watch other series too and so he leaves due to the pressure or doesn't invest in the first place. That is why 20 mins per series per day and no more than two series clashing together is a good thing. less than 20 mins and the whole thing feels too choppy, ofc you can go over just not too much (we are not tv here no need to compress your vids to stupid stuff). We can also be flexible and make exceptions where it fits but thats the general rule. Also the avg person got around 20 mins of attention span so you fit right in.
2. Well at first it might seem easy and we got summer vac now, but over time you will have hard time maintaining tight schedule , perhaps less of a problem considering the amount of ppl currently ready to participate but still a prob worth keeping in mind , especially when you begin to demand more and more of your vids in order to reach more and more people.
As for other suggestions get accommodated with your current surrounding by posting like you do right now, later on I will ask each one of those who want to participate about what kind of vids they'd like to make and post a schedule. I have a few ideas for myself in mind to bring unique content out, I also thought about how to promote our stuff.
@ Shadowcat well aren't you a hater ? Have a look at what I post , its actually a hope that this channel might become something resulting from the lets plays which are moves in the right direction, I dont expect you to roll mils either but I do expect that you wont even reach 100 subs with that content on the front page. You can keep hating on me and see for yourself or quit playing with fire just to see how burnt you end up.
