The Barrage Cannon has a shield, but it usually isn't up unless a threat is suspected. I'd say that it is up, due to the frequency of everyone targeting it like Ivan.

The Strigiforme Fleet has reached Novus' orbit, still under the super shield. At precisely 15:00 hours Cuuyth time, the Stauros fired on the shield, and the Strigiforme ships immediately exited and began their attack. All ships have disgorged their fighters, and the Aiigaiion has taken a battle group and moved to confront the enemy flagship. All ships have been ordered to stay in their battlegroups, and to put a few missiles in the defence arrays while they are disabled. During this time, Strigforme dropships have charged down to the surface en masse, following the wake of a small barrage of missiles and laser strikes on antiair flak sites.

The Stauros has raised its shield again. Additionally, wartime production has yielded a fresh battlefleet, with several more in the works.

The Ryytils, being affected by the MQR interference, have been temporarily disabled. In the meantime, the fleet has begun fortifying the system, and have begun building a jump gate.

Ivan, where did you pull that super weapon from? You can't just rip them out of your ass.

Novan fightercraft have moved to intercept the dropships, with flak cruisers keeping the fighters off the ships in orbit. the battlecarriers present are each heading up half of the defense fleet, and have engaged the Strigiforme; ground forces are on alert and AA systems have been switched to backup computer guidance.

Using a "hit and run" tactic,the REAPER Operatives managed to destroy or disable some strategic targets of the planet defense system [2 or 3 MAC cannons and some comm outposts]. Due to extensive psionic scanning,the Operatives were unable to lay mines effectivelqy,and were extracted before it was too late. The blame will go to pirates or black flag operations.[/meta]

OOC: I've had a planet buster and a moon buster since forever, and you broke the planet buster so I still have the moon buster. I have definetely mentioned both the Eclipse Cannon and the station it's mounted on ("Space Colony ARK") in the thread this is a continuation of, as a search brought up. In all honesty, though, I can understand your confusion. I have done some research and appearently I didn't write about it much, just had the fact that I had it saved somewhere in my head. So... am I still allowed to have ti or do we say the Strigiforme shot it down along with the planet buster?

Imperial Naval Fleets 2-7 activated their warp drives and appeared in MQR space. They immediately started wreaking havoc on the border fleets and outposts. They pushed deeper toward Equestria with every passing hour. The Colossus also has joined them, lending awesome firepower to support the fleets.

Fleets 1, 8, 9, 10, and 11 have fortified Imperial space to be nigh impenetrable.

Also, you can't just shrug off a Tachyon-Subspace warhead. That thing rips apart space-time and is a real problem. One was fired at the Barrage cannon, remember?

OOC: I assume you're coming form a different direction than the Strigiforme, since otherwise you'd just be flying through space already taken by them.

Due to rapid pushing forward of the Orion Imperium, their forces have been spread to thin and the planetary defenses are capable of doing considerable demage among the Orion fleet.
(OOC: no, this is not OP. These planetary defenses were supposed to slow you down through the fact that they can do demage if you don't stop with your entire fleet to take care of them. Considering you didn't take care of them, they did demage. Simple logic. I'd say with your current tactic, you'll loose about 2 to 4 ships each system you go through.)

The fleet over Hahnsak, as it is no lonfer required there, has split into 2 groups and is deploying against Strigiforme forces over Aerila and Cyrannus.

The forces over Novus have committed to nuclear attacks, firing tac-nukes alongside standard missiles; most of the dropships descending towards the planet have been intercepted and destroyed / crippled; the remainder cannot do anything more than force a stalemate with the Novan Army.
