Both sides need to quit indiscriminately lobbing explosives at each other, but to be frank, Israel started it.

Re: Israeli assault on Gaza
Well its an interesting statement there Tau, Israel started it ... And yeah we already moved past the state of throwing bombs at each other 10 days ago, we are now shooting each other. To be honest this situation could be avoided, two days ago Egypt proposed a cease-fire. At 9:00 am in the morning all Israeli art batteries and planes stopped firing as per agreement. From 9:00 am to 13:00 PM around 40 palestinian missiles were launched from Gaza, it was clear they were not interested in peace so the art-bombardment continued.
Honestly Tau why exactly do you blame it on us ?

Re: Israeli assault on Gaza
Honestly I side with Palestine in every conflict that includes Israel because the UN never let Palestine have a say when they took away their land to create Israel in the first place. *runs and hides behind a tree

Re: Israeli assault on Gaza
You know its the classical confusion that those who dont understand have. They believe in two things:
1.The peace process and creation of a Palestinian state and the wars we face here are part of the same thing.
2.The hamas fights for the rights of Palestinians.
1. Ill begin with the first. You know Im all for peace and the creation of a Palestinian state which would be inevitable but in the same time the issue of peace talks and the current war have nothing to do with each other. I will leave the talks and details and disagreements to the diplomats and politicians that handle this thing, each side has their interests and they try to promote those, however all of those can be resolved peacefully. The conflict we talk about happens elsewhere, while the talks take place with the western bank, the war happens with gaza. Both places are ruled by different people, Abu-Mazen is only in control of the western bank, in Gaza the terrorists of the Hamas pull the strings. They have no opinion in the peace talks nor any interest in them, their sole purpose of existence is the annihilation of every single Jew that lives in the land of Israel and I will have no mercy for those who point a gun at my state.
2. "But the hamas are like freedom fighters who got no other choice but to fight because the talks failed !" , well if the hamas is so benevolent as you think tell my why do they hide behind those civilians they were supposed to protect ? Why are they putting rocket launchers in schools? Why do they hide their ammo in Mosques ? WHY ARE THEY HIDING THEIR SORROW ASSES IN BUNKERS BELOW HOSPITALS ? Before each bombing commences Israel throws thousands of annotations and makes thousands of calls to tell the people of Gaza to evacuate, what do the Hamas do ? They tell them to remain, to go stand on the roofs, sometimes at gunpoint, so that they'll be killed and so that they'll have something to tell about to the world, how the cruel IDF is murdering civilians. Are those the freedom fighters you talk about ?! Is that the face of justice you want ?!
In conclusion maybe I can understand your point regarding the state of Palestine, however this point has nothing to do with the war in Gaza, moreover Ill even tell you what the Hamas wants and why this war started. 11 days ago the situe in Gaza wasn't too good for the Hamas. Since the return of the military to power in egypt they stopped transferring money from Qatar which meant the Hamas had nothing to pay his terrorists with. The disapproval rates of the Hamas were skyrocketing and the popularity of other parties rose. Basically the Hamas uses this war to take the pressure off himself and remain in power, they are just like all other dictatorships, willing to sacrifice as many people as it takes just to remain in power, that is the face of the freedom fighters you sought to protect.
If you still disagree with me tell me why so that I can continue convincing you. Perhaps I wont get to run with a rifle right now like some of my former classmates but I can help out in the informational war that the Hamas runs and I wont loose.

Don't tell anybody, but to this day I have a faint hope for Futurecraft, or something similar to it, to happen. Within my lifetime.

Re: Israeli assault on Gaza
I figure that one side or the other should/clould clue in an dask for UN / NATO peacekeepers. Them guys in blue hats tend to stop fighting pretty well; then you can figure out how to not shoot each other.
I couldn't give a damn about your history; bear in mind the U.S. & Canada were in a shooting war once, now look at 'em. So really, "deal with it and move on" is my view here.

Re: Israeli assault on Gaza
The problem is that UN peacekeepers only work if both sides agree on using diplomacy.
Did you hear what happened on Golan when civil war broke out in Syria?
I can tell you, those blue-helmeted UN guys are the last thing Israel would trust right now and they wouldn't work against the Hamas, because the primary reason they work is that attacking them automatically tick off the entire world, but since they go with "fuck all diplomacy" anyway, the UN is pretty powerless here.
In defense of the blue helmets tho, the guys who ran away on Golan were primarily the Austrians and I repeadetly stated that our military is pointless, here you have why. This is also why Israel is still tick off at Austria AFAIK.

I think the whole middle east is a clusterfuck of dumbness with spoiled child syndrome. The whole place might as well be nuked and the glow in the dark territory split up to Africa, Europe and Asia. Its not like it could get worse anyway.

But that requires extensive politics if you don't want to make WW3 a thing.

What if a private organization got their hands on a load of nukes and turned that whole conflict area into Fallout: New Judea.
