Due to "conventional" psionic attacks proving uneffective against the Strigiforme fleet, the HARMONY psionic superweapon has been fired at them. (OOC: That thing is essentially designed to make an entire -psionically unshielded- continent fall unconcious)
With the MQR evacuations being complete as well, the militia is manning planetary and orbital defense to give the fleets more time to group together at Equestria.

The Barrage Cannon has fired multiple high powered incendiary and biological weapons at Equestria. The incendiary warheads can scorch up to 150 km, and the biological ones can disperse contagious Equine-or-Mobian specific spores(anthrax like) over dozens of kilometers.

The Strigiforme fleet at Aquaria has jumped away to the next deepest Novan world, and is slowly moving through there under a super shield.

The Strigiforme have sent Darkstar a basic Yttrium reactor.

Unfortunately for their health, the Strigiforme had arrived over Hahnsak - CSN FleetCom and the local equivalent of Cuuyth.

With kver twenty defense platforms, sixty intrasystem defense ships, hundreds of fighter-bombers and an abundance of starships, they had unwittingly given the Novans a fair fight.

And as the Aurelian battleship - and most of the jump-capable forces from Aquaria - arrived, the odds evened still further.

Over Terra, the diplomatic ship again contacted the Strigiforme vessel, attempting to initate the audio link. Handshakes had already been exchanged with the Hexalani.

[META]The hyperspace missile array has been loaded with both thermonuclear and nerve-gas warheads ( retaliation for the bio-attack on Equestria), and has fired 6 missiles upon a high-population world.[/META]

Fortunately, with the forewarning from the shipyard world being hit, the world of Tyyriil was mostly spared from damage. While one nuclear weapon escaped the planetary CIWS net, the rest were broken against the shield or had their biological contaminants burned by lasers in the upper atmosphere. Even so, the world is quarantined for the time being.

The Strigiforme Fleet over Hahnsak, with a shield that could be considered as close to invulnerable as could be(they have 10 shield ships and the Aiigaiion, each makes it tougher) began moving towards the most direct route to Novan Homeworld, moving slowly under their shield. As they do this, other Strigiforme fleets have begun moving into Novan territory, taking casualties but holding the upper hand in most cases.

The Barrage Cannon has been loaded with antiship Yttrium warheads, and which are being fired at Hahnsak to soften the defences.

Randall strolled into the highly-secured bunker into the large room, a holographic display in the center. On it was a holographic rendering of Stauros, the Strigiforme construct. It was scanned and rendered over long range. All they knew was that it was big; extremely large.

Randall took a look at it and then at the military commanders around it. The experts in their areas. "What have we got?" he began.

"Stauros Station, as we've called it, is the massive Strigiforme construct they've been building for years," replied his scientific advisor. "It is extremely large. It's size, actually, and power output is what allowed us to scan it. Briefly after firing, it was illuminated as if it were a planet, and getting a reading on the shape and size was relatively simple."

"Ok, I get that. Really big. And what is its function?"

"We believe that, by randomizing the quantum data stream, it causes extreme quantum de-coherence in quantum computers, rendering them unusable without completely rebuilding them. It affects contemporary silicon computing as well, but to a much lesser extent, requiring merely a reboot rather than a complete reassembly."

"How do we know this?"

"We've analyzed the energy signature it left behind and replicated the weapon, but on a very small scale." Randall stood up and began walking around the holographic rendering. On the walls of the room were a multitude of star charts and military attack plans.

"Stauros is obviously a threat, then."

"It can wipe out an entire system's computer systems in one shot," said his military advisor, "and we don't know whether it can be stopped or not."

"Then we find a way to destroy it. I assume it is heavily defended?"

"Based on it's size, nothing we have will stand a chance of fighting it. It's most likely covered in defensive guns and crawling with ships."

"What about the Singularity Installation?"

"Still undergoing repairs sir," his strategic adviser reminded him. "We're months away from even bringing it online." Randall sighed.

"And even if we destroy it, what then? We bring down the might of both the Strigiforme and the Imperium down on us. So it must be discreet."

"We don't have to destroy it." Randall turned and looked at his diplomatic advisor. "We could join the Strigiforme."

"It's always an option." Randall completed a revolution around the room and stopped. "And if we do nothing?"

"We'll be significantly threatened by both Stauros and both the Imperium and Strigiforme," said the strategic adviser.

"Then we do something."

Several Chaos-Emerald bombs have been dropped on Strigoforme border worlds (they have been deployed using Psionic Warp Ring Drives, those don't need to be mounted on the object traversing through it. It is expected at least some will get though before the Strigiforme shields deploy, causing severe demage and making the area essentially permanently unhabitable for non-MQR forces)

In response to the bombings of Equestria, it has been decided that the surface of Equestria was currently not save. Infrastructure maintainance is being done with psionically remote-controlled robots.
