OOC: Just stating this, By doing serious evacuations like that any continued fleet ops in the milkyway area will be strained quite severely, Also all your defenses will be crap cause AI = storm trooper accuracy.

Civilians =/= Citizens.
I've been seeing it as they're evacuating civilians, not the military.

Um?

Civilians ships are actually conducting the evacuations, not warships.

And if you mean the ship AIs, they're based on Novan commanders and scientists (now dead), so no, they're actually pretty good (think Halo minus rampancy).

And the average Novan infantry soldier makes the SAS look like bloody fools.

Quality > quantity, to the logical extreme.

OOC: I'm saying that without any Civilians to run your cities your going to be operating off stockpiles or carting supplies in through a gate to andromeda which will (eventually) screw you over supply-wise. I was pointing more towards stationary planet defences AIs.
Of course all this is more directed towards Error and his supah-evak from the Milky Way.

They'll only need supplies if they survive, which will only be in question if the Strigi attacks.

Novan ships can manage (given, y'know, small crews) a minimum of 2 months with onboard supplies, and unless ACH seriously wimps out, won't be an issue for a while.

And defenseive AIs are actually more powerful, given they're spread out over entire cities (with the processing power that follows) instead of just a starship.

AI's are generally pretty powerful nowadays, for the tasks they're built for. They aren't perfect; that's why AI's are always paired with human operators. An AI assisted gunnery officer will be better than either on their own; AI can plot the actual shooting and paths while gunner can anticipate movements.

The main limitation of AI's is making super-AI's that can do everything a person can without having it ungodly expensive. And, they're dangerous.

I think we need to change AI to VI, since a real AI would be able to do everything a person can do.

The SDI have declared that they are in a state of open warfare with the forces of the GSI. The Strigiforme have hired just about all the pirates they can to harass GSI forces and trade. The Barrage Cannon has fired on the (name unknown) orbital super cannon of the MQR. It is currently traversing to fire on other targets.

And, they're dangerous.
OI! I take offense to that.

48 frigates complete

12 for mining
12 for module assembly
24 for fighting

Alert: NAN. Error: stack overflow.

Production of frigates beyond the current ones has been halted. All factories are going to producing a single One way jump gate to the Wolf–Lundmark–Melotte Galaxy which is suspected to be uninhabited by the current forces.

I would like to point out that aside from the plot requiring Jade to be powerful, Every single ship has a processor, RAM for well RAM things, and storage, though each ship has the exact same thing every other ship has stored on it, so Jade isn't dependant on one single ship to live.

Fleets 1-8 have been allocated to the extended command chain (they treat any GSI nation as they do Hexalan, but any orders can be overridden by Hexalan).
Fleets 9-12 and 14-18 are securing high-value assets within the Expanses. All state freight convoys are under orders to transport as many supplies to planetary and system militias as possible, and will be overseen by Fleet 13.

I'd say that most of my AIs are pretty much true AI, although their minds don't work quite like people's minds, they have different ideals and moralities and such, depending on what they are used for.

ooc: I love the smell of roleplay war in the morning.

It smells like...victory.

With the rising tensions around the universe, colonies are investing more and more in planetary defenses. Darkstar operatives are training common civillians in basic military tactics in improvised bootcamps to create some sort of "militia",and arming civillian ships with basic gauss weaponry....for a price. [ (^-^)/ Capitalism. ]

All fleets are being put on Orange alert [Not too agressive as red,but not as light as yellow] and patrols are constant.

The colony on Andromeda is thriving, but not expanding beyond that solar system. The colony is preparing stations to generate income from passing by ships, and is stockpilling food, medicine and other supplies to "offer" [Sell] to desperate travellers.

The Charon Jumpgate between the Tajer and Darkstar is operational,so new trade lanes between the two factions are easy to be opened [More moeeeney]
