Nobody ever really asked for percentages or anything. We are fairly anti-math and all. You can just do it over a reasonable time period.

As far as construction times go, I think it's safe to assume technology would subsidize that somewhat. ISDs are built in about...two months? And they're pretty much a superdread here at 1.6 km. I think that's a fair reference point for something that scale, if one day is a week. Stuff can still get done in time to be relevant.

Okay so I'll stop doing math since people don't like it. but in exchange I have literally infinite materials.

The construction of the enegy colection cluster is going well. Right now,is about contructing the solar stations in another system using pre-fab and modular models to ensure a fast building.

\\Research Station on Zion II//

"Okay, lets check everything...if we faill, the entire planet goes to hell"

The elderly scientist was checking the system with the "newbies" at the research station. IN the console, the status of a containment chamber. A small robot came inside the room, putting a small purple crystal in the center and then went out. A laser was discharged on the crystal, that began to swirl and create a purple sphere, devouring the room. Then, magnets came down containing the sphere, containing it until it was in the size of a basket ball.

The Fold-Quartz is a sucess. More research is on-going to make it a secure power-source,but tests are showing better results than the He3 Reaction powerplants.
Engineers are working on the MIRABELA project. Right now, everything is just concept

Solar this isn't a hostage scenario.

Just be reasonable. Build up your infrastructure, start mining, and once you're established it won't be questioned if you put out a frigate every day because you have that base to operate off of. But until then it's like you're trying to play Total Annihiliation in a game of Civilization.

It would take the Strigiforme at full capacity several centuries to completely mine out a star system. Planets are fucking HUGE. Gas giants can be mined for gasses. There are billions of useful asteroids out there.

So infinite, pretty much. Extraction at a rate of 100,000 km^3/day? No.

Bonus Math

1 cubic km of iron is approximately 7874000 kilograms

100,000 cubic km of iron is approximately 787,400,000,000 kilograms

I'm going to assume that this is an earth-sized planet, and will use earth calculations. The energy required to move something out of a planets orbit is equal to gravitational potential energy (GPE)

GPE= Mass * Acceleration due to gravity * Altitude

U=MGH

I'm assuming an altitude of 50,000 km (50,000,000 m)

787,400,000,000 kg * 10 m/s * 50,000,000 m= 3.93e20

Which, reduced, is 393 EXAJOULES

That's just under half the annual global energy consumption per year.

It's not as hard to do when you have factories covering at the least 1km^2, with the biggest covering almost a whole planet (which is our oldest, with the second largest being roughly the size of Australia if it were a square, the rest ranking in at micro percents.)

Commander Yance, aboard the Observer, stared at the DRADIS displays, showing the Taln fleet executing maneuvers over Alpha Leonis 5.

"Comms... override radio silence and bounce the following to the Taln group. Message as follows: Why the hell are you searching for a so-far-peaceful artificial intelligence, with what seems to be a full wing of ships? Message end. Oh, and relay the message log to our fleet."

The comms officer input the message and sent it on its way. "Think they'll tell us, sir?"

"Hell no. They'll just keep waving their hillariously photo-altered * at us. But we do need to make the attempt."

You have materials based on how many systems you have and developed infrastructure. While there is no math, it is instead based on common interpretation. If you screw up, someone will probably call you out on it.

"No reply on that message, Commander."

Yance sighed. Hell with it. "Move us within an AU and relay the same on all possible channels. Oh, and use the comms maser and hyperpulse unit, too."

OOC, Tiel, in sci-fi terms, I'm standing uncomforably close and yelling as loudly as possible (in about 4 languages) into your ear, so radio silence is no longer a blanket excuse :P
