The MQR has started negotiations with all not yet occupied NeoRoman local governments, aiming to try and persuade them into joining the "Novan Federation", as the union between Novus and the MQR has been unofficially called.

Randall slowly mounted the steps of Antioch's former capital building. The city never recovered from the impact, and was abandoned after it was deemed a loss. Rubble was still strewn around the building, but he got to the top without issue. A small camera crew followed him up the steps. He stopped, gave a gesture to the camera crew, and turned to face the city. He cleared his throat and the crew activated their equipment and began the broadcast.

"This message," he said, "is directed to both my fellow friends and family, and the governments of the galaxy. My family was never an urban one." he paced around. The camera's stayed trained on him, just barely keeping the rubble out of sight. "We grew up on border worlds, backwater planets. We had our fair share of pirates, unknown threats, everything from Cuuyth and back. Sure, it could be dangerous, but we could always rely on the military to keep watch over us. I never truly forgot that, in all my years of life. Even as I was sworn in as President, of the world of Antioch, I never forgot that." He moved a bit closer towards the city, the cameras trained on him.

"And that, friends, is why I am speaking to all of you today. With the Hierarchy's dissolution, we were given an opportunity, a chance to forge a new path, whether with the sector, or alone. A path nobody here may ever witness again. And this is what the sector thinks of our freedom." The cameras panned over to the main Antioch center, showing the ruined city.

Randall had made sure that the ruined city was prepared for this moment. He had it destroyed some more, set fires, created plasma burns. Everything necessary to make it look as if it was attacked. As a bonus, he modified the skyline; few would be able to tell that this was Antioch.

"We get attacked. Enslaved. Those that rise up are destroyed, beaten down. Our freedoms are taken away. And WHAT do the other nations do?" He was very close to the camera at this point. "Nothing. They do nothing for us, nothing to stop or even protect us from some backwater empire nobody cares about!" He wore an expression of pure hatred now.

"Well, I have a message for the sector. And for the Tajer. As of now, I declare the formation of the Antioch United Federation, consisting initially of no less than 15 former NeoRoman worlds. More join our cause every day, and it won't stop there. We will drive out the invaders, these "Tajer," we will beat them into submission, and we will show the sector that we don't need their support or their permission! We will forge our own path! Together, we stand united!"

While we understand your concerns our past experiences have shown us that large groups of unaligned singular worlds only result in lawless anarchy, Infighting , and lower quality of life for all citizens involved in such worlds and as a cancerous tumor for the rest of the galaxy. A spontaneous heavy assault, Despite being very bloody is seen as the best course of action from our view point.

We do not wish to "butt heads" with the commonwealth, but we cannot just allow such a valuable expansion chance to run through our hands and allowing such a tumor of worlds to cause problems latter for the galaxy at whole.

If the Commonwealth wishes to continue discussion of this matter we will be open to it but for now we are simply to invested to stop for only a few worlds.

Multiple worlds surrender on sight of the Tajerian fleet in fear of being wiped out, A few worlds still resist and are promptly wiped out.

The council has made an announcement its plan for various economic sanctions to maintain the economy when the weight of the new worlds is pushed upon it.
Multiple contracts have been made to send supplies to the captured worlds to cement Tajerian control among them, along with multitudes of scientists and entrepreneurs looking to learn from the alien technology or make some quick cash from it.

The battlecarriers Pegasus and Prometheus, along with a 45-strong fleet, have been dispatched to the former Hierarchy worlds under threat from the Tajer. A simple public broadcast was sent to the Technocracy: Don't try it.

Orbital defenses once orbiting Novus have been moved; several lf the formidabl platforms now orbit Lazarus and Pandora in the Long Reach system.

Any local militia or military force on a former Hierarchy world will recieve free training from Novan forces upon request.

OOC, Shadow, bear in mind a Novan ship of any kind is overengineered and far more powerful than most other ships of a similar size and role. We get by with a small navy due to this.

Bear in mind, Shadow- most of the militias are paramilitary glorified cops, yes, but quite a few are ex-NR military. So they're quite competent, but there may well be a large number of ships still hanging around.

The MQR is sending the 3rd fleet already known from the Wargames - minus one Crimson Missile Frigate, which was destroyed at the ambush - to ex-NR space for peacekeeping missions, AKA stop the Tajer advance. Their mission is simply to blockade the planets, keeping the Tajer from gaining access to them without attacking the MQR ships first, which would be equal to a declaration of war on the entire GSI.
Although unofficial, those planetary governments who expessed intentions to join the Novan/MQR federation are prioritized.

Near the edge of a world recently captured by the Tajer, Auraxi, a small frigate jumped in. It was several clicks away from the main Tajer fleet in the area and was immediately noticed; the fleet turned at it, charging weapons. The frigate stayed on a steady course towards the defensive line. Another ship jumped in, this time a cruiser, just behind the frigate. The Tajer fleet fired a warning shot. Another ship jumped in, and another. Soon, the growing fleet was completely obscured by space distortions and light warping as ship after ship jumped in, of all sizes. When it slowed down, a massive fleet composed of nearly 200 ships stayed on a direct course for the Tajer fleet. At the front was the Derivative, a dreadnought sized vessel. Upon the sides of each vessel, where the NeoRoman insignia would normally lie, the symbol of the AUF shone in the darkness;


Admiral Barial stood at the bridge of the Derivative. Being one of the readily available admirals, he was tasked with leading the first strike against the Tajer. He picked up the fleet communicator and set it to broadcast to the fleet. "Today, we show these invader scum who they're messing with. The finest trained men in the nation."

Randall Feragg, leader of the AUF, has announced that the AUF is officially at full-scale war with the Tajer Technocracy, a decision made in light of Tajer advances on the former NeoRoman worlds, and of their treatment of the civilians and governments of the sector.

Strigiforme forces in former NeoRoman territory have been instructed to protect the worlds they have been stationed at from unwanted foreign influence, as exemplified by the Tajer. Many of these worlds are being organized into nations with the help of the Strigiforme, though some border worlds have been absorbed. Insurgents on worlds protected by the Strigiforme are sent to penal colonies to do labour. The forces of the Strigiforme that were deployed to Antioch have arrived at systems nearby, but await the deployment of Aiigaiion to help protect Antioch.

The government of the AUF would like to inform the Strigiforme that their protection of Antioch is not necessary in the slightest. A significant fraction of the former NeoRoman Military is sworn to AUF allegiance, temporarily using the NeoRoman command chain until the current crisis is resolved. The AUF strongly recommends for the Strigiforme to keep their forces out of AUF worlds, especially Antioch.
