I think the problem is that the lenght of the turret housing is disproportionate to the lenght of the gun

Re: FC content pack flan's [SUPERTHREADNAUGHT]
If I lengthen the gun that will look worse. I already shortened it from it's original length (didn't post pics).
And the turret housing is mostly shape boxed, reworking something like that is why I stopped developing the Peregrine.
I can maybe cut the main gun out and make it narrower and longer, but IDK if that design will look any good and I may have to replace it with a generic barrel.
Going to try an alternate barrel.

It's not even that the gun is too short, it is too large for the housing, but making it shorter won't work out either because then it would be too stubby, so yeah, what you need is a narrower gun.

Re: FC content pack flan's [SUPERTHREADNAUGHT]
Actually, I've got an idea.
I quite like the gun on there, but I'm obviously outnumbered. However, I did originally plan for the Leviathan to be split up into different versions with different gun types, but realised that it wouldn't work well.
That gun there would work fine on the heavy variant, although yes it doesn't work as an all rounder.
So once I get the chassis finished (I'll keep that gun to make everything easier down the line), I can make a medium version, with a long railgun, which will have less armour but fire faster.
And after that a light tank version, with a heavy autocannon, less armour but a better top speed and better handling (also I can shrink the model). If I do this one I'll make it not accept shells and instead use the driver's MG (with a new MG ofc)
And after that maybe even a SPG variant, with a fuckmassive gun but bugger all maneuverability.
Basically making it a modular tank, so I can cover every tank role with minimum effort. Except siege tank, that's Leviathan's job.
Funnily enough this is also easier than a rework, and saves me designing two more tanks.

The thing is that it looks pudgy. Too round because the base is a little too narrow for the height and the turret's a bit too tall. The gun might be to blame for some of that percieved pudginess, though. It looks kind of cartoonish.
Also, the gun itself. What exactly is it?

Re: FC content pack flan's [SUPERTHREADNAUGHT]
Haven't decided yet, plasma or rail gun, it's derived from the dragon so probably plasma. And I want the medium tank to use a rail gun.
Although I think the gun is responsibly for it looking fat (usually tank turrets don't have that high a gun). When it was just the turret and not the gun it was a reasonable height, so if I swap the gun out it might look ok.
Although for the heavy version I will leave it like that, I know you lot aren't keen but I don't think it's worth a complete scrap.
And for reference, the medium class will have a rail gun (thinking something along the lines of Rex's rail gun, only tank sized). And the light version will have a auto cannon not too dissimilar to a heavy bolter.
Also for the heavy I'll probably add some extra armour plating on the sides to widen the base a bit, and cover the weak point between the tracks,

Re: FC content pack flan's [SUPERTHREADNAUGHT]
It's a large rail gun that fires a super magnetic projectile that attracts a cloud of superheated gas known as plasma, when the projectile is magnetically propelled from the barrel plasma is sprayed around to for the projectile to "grab" and drag with it to its target where the superheated plasma melts the targets armor and then the burning shell of death hits the armor hopefully peircing it and cooking the crew alive turning them into healthy pophuman snack.

ok we have tracks, I'm going to get this version textured then I'll go about replacing the gun.

Come to think of it, why don't you make it shoot people?

Don't tell anybody, but to this day I have a faint hope for Futurecraft, or something similar to it, to happen. Within my lifetime.

Yeah, but I mean actually shooting them. As ammo. Steve could probably fit inside that cannon.

I could see how plasma would work, but it's stupidly large/fat/stubby to be a railgun or coilgun or any other high velocity solid projectile weapon.
