"Commander, the gondola is not complying."
"Fire a warning shot off their bow, and get a solid firing solution with a missile."
"Aye, captain."
Kyr, still flying, began to notice a thinning of the enemy. He wasn't sure if it was that they were dying or retreating. He took aim, and killed another gang member from above.

"OI bastards I was asking a mother fucking question now just where the fuck is your god damned base you want me to go to!?" Helios yelled in a particularly harsh tone into his radio. You know what fine. helios drifted over to one of the gryrodyne thingies. and lept from his ship grabbing on to it. "Bye bye bastards." Helios converted a massive hole in the side of it into magical energy, which he then converted to heat energy on the pilots face causing him to incenerate. Then he converted the controls into energy and went through the gyrodyne converting everyone onboard into energy in a swift manner.

Re: Schizo Tech
Someone didn't listen. As it is, a gyrodyne is an aeroplane, which goes significantly faster than a gondola. They also have guns, to kill you with if you make hostile actions. Looking at your magic stats, I see that you have 6 magic, and I feel it should be called to attention that all your magic insofar has been wildly OP.ACH0225 wrote:The crew of the gyrodyne detected a small aerial craft rising.
"Commander, how should we act?"
"Unless it makes hostile movements or tries to leave, don't attack. Attempt to hail them and instruct them to land near our encampment to the east. The Yllvyyx is en route, it can guide them there. I need a status report on the ground."
"Status on the ground is good, SpecOps soldiers report relatively low casualties. Many of the gang members were equipped with faulty weaponry, and have surrendered. Additionally, one sniper reported a sighting of the target, though his direction of movement was uncertain and soldiers who moved to the scene didn't find him."
"Good, continue according to the plan."
Please note when writing this that these are professionally trained, armed, and armoured individuals who kill for a living, and who are far beyond the caliber of average soldiers. I find the frequent killing of them by you guys(notably catsonmeth) to be unrealistic, but I'll let it slide, however all NPCs are being massacred because they are terribad.

Re: Schizo Tech
He does have a point, Solar; conjuring stuff is fairly easy, but matter to energy (as opposed to the other way around) is rather harder, and with M-6 you'd manage maybe a small-grenade sized explosion.
But given gyrodynes are helicopters with wings (not gasbag airships), you wouldn't catch them anyhow. Sorry.

Wouldn't making something from energy be even more difficult? I could see, maybe, teleporting it, but then you'd have to know where all of it is.

E: Also I'm operating on the assumption that
1. Magic is sort of like space time in that it's literally everywhere.
2 the universe is infinite
3. When one uses magic they take a bit of energy from the magic field thing
and 4. magic from elsewhere moves in to fill in the energy that is used.

Re: Schizo Tech
I think both would be rather hard, However summoning is different from literal energy to matter. But with a Magics of two that's like maybe some parlor trick level magic with some basic magic death globs.catsonmeth wrote:Wouldn't making something from energy be even more difficult? Re: Schizo Tech
If you like, Shadow.
EDIT: Magic is fairly easy to use, qnd shaping objects from magic is actually an easily-acquired skill. Turning existing matter (I.e. non-magically created) into raw magic is rather tougher.
Besides, bringing an airship up out of nowhere would've tired you out somewhat. Size is directly proportional to energy expended, and the equation is quadratic.
Small-scale stuff, like bottomless magazines, enchanted swords, armours, and the like, are quite easy to manage with some training, but larger objects demand more energy.

Re: Schizo Tech
I would like to point out that It's easier to destroy something than it is to build something.
In other words assuming all matter is extremely organised energy, it's easier to disorganise that matter back into pure energy than it is to organise pure energy into matter.
E: To prove this, Go throw a plate at a wall.
Done? Good. Now put it back together.
Which is easier?
((Also can I change my magic up to something I like better?))

Re: Schizo Tech
Looks okay to me.
OOC: A Republic marksowl is about to inform ACH that he took down the gang leader, and the Republic mission is complete.
@Solar I'm not using the "normal" magic rules here; this universe is, after all, a bit... buggered. Normsl physics? Destruction is easier. Magical? Inverse.
And you can switch your magic up if you like.
BIC,
Breaking away from Taara, Val ascended a nearby building. Surveying the chaos - and noting the disproportionately massive casualties the gangs had sustained - she dropped down and headed for the skyport, hoping to find a ship intact.

"Commander, we have a confirmed kill on the target!"
"Good, this took longer than we projected. Send the signal to meet at the LZ and take us on a landing course."
"Aye, captain."
Kyr heard the order, and glided to the LZ. While flying, he noticed that while there were a few small firefights still ongoing, the majority of the streets were quiet. Many were littered with dozens of shoddily armoured humans and other species, a testament to the weakness of the gangs and the strength of the Strigiforme. He arrived at the LZ, a small grassy knoll on one side of the town, to find about 3 dozen other soldiers there. Included were many snipers and SpecOps troops, forming a circle around where the gyrodyne would land. Kyr took a position, grateful for the break, aiming his sniper out from atop a nearby tree.
