Given recent events, we believe it is necessary for Holocene to be partially given to foreign states. We will be able to sell about 25-30% of Holocene's assets if you are interested.
-END-

-News Broadcast-

The NeoRoman economic council today revealed that the Rom, the NeoRoman currency, has sharply declined in value following a near-complete stock market crash. After Holocene's cataclysmic accident and subsequent dissolution, investors pulled their investments out of nearly all shipping companies and sold their stocks. At the same time, goods are not being shipped throughout the Hierarchy as Holocene handled their shipping. Factories and stores have been forced to temporarily shut down until shipping is returned. The Rom fell from a value of approximately 5.23 Galactic Credits to only 2.38 Galactic Credits in the space of the few weeks since the disaster. The Hierarchy has declared an economic crisis and has frozen all stock trading and selling, but the decision seems to have come too late.

The Aurora has also been dispatched to the Wargames, but it shall not participate in most activities. Instead, it will mediate it along with Vortex station and keep it operational. The first wargame assignment will proceed in 2 standard days.

The Commonwealth has indicated it will increase shipping and trade with the Dominion, but it will not be able to repair the economic damage done.

We can, however, offer cleanup teams and repair crews to assist in clearing space over Antioch.

OOC: Got it.

-Message to: Darkstar-

The assets will be transferred over after we receive payment. While we normally do not allow foreign companies to operate within NeoRoman borders without extensive checks, we can make an exception. Keep in mind that we will be watching.
-END-

-News Broadcast-
The Rom has stabilized in value today, rising back up to 2.54 Galactic Credits at the end of today's trading. While not close to it's initial value, it is better than the 2.24 Galactic Credits it dropped to earlier this week.

The Antioch cleanup and relief effort is progressing smoothly. Unfortunately, the city may never fully recover from the impact; the entire metro area has been completely annihilated, leaving nothing but a crater. Several weakened skyscrapers also collapsed in the wake of relief due to damage from the impact; fortunately, no injuries resulted from their collapse, as they had previously been evacuated.

Jahgrin, aboard the Aurora, relayed a message to the fleets gathered at Vortex Station. "Welcome to the first NeoRoman Sector Wargames," he said. "I will be mediating the skirmishes we will have in the coming few weeks and dictating sides for each conflict." He paused and looked at the roster.

PARTICIPANTS
-NeoRoman Hierarchy [First Battle Fleet, Second Battle Fleet, Third Battle Fleet, Aurora]
-Hexalan [Third Fleet, Seventh Fleet] -NeoRoman Upgraded-
-Strigiforme [Fleet 36, Fleet 37, Fleet 38, 12th Carrier Fleet, 27th Quick Response Fleet]
-Darkstar [54th Fast Response Fleet]
-Orion Confederation[1st Fleet, 2nd Fleet, 5th Fleet, Colossus]
-MQR [3rd Fleet]
-Zuguthian Empire [1st Fleet, 2nd Fleet]
-Tajer [Carrier fleet?]

He looked up and reactivated the channel. "The first mission is a simple one in deep space. It is a seek and destroy mission. Here is the breakdown."

"The MQR and the Orion Confederation will be guarding a package somewhere in space. It is invisible, so you have to get close to detect it. Taking it's shields down is the goal."

"Hexalan and Darkstar will be attacking this package."

"A second package will be guarded by the Strigiforme and Tajer, the latter who have recently entered galactic politics. This is also hidden in space."

"NeoRome and the Zuguthian Empire will assault the second package."

"I will transmit the coordinates of the package to the defense teams. Defense, you have two hours to formulate a defense plan and organize yourselves. To the attack teams, I will send the approximate coordinates to you at the end of the two hours. Until then, you have to come up with an assault plan. Jahgrin out."

WARGAMES EXPLANATION:
Spoiler:
[EXPLANATION FOR NEOROMAN WAR-GAMES]
-All weapons are in strictly training mode. While they still damage shields as normal, they do almost no hull damage whatsoever (even Fusion coil splicers). How is this possible? Unfocused energy weapons, unloading explosives from shells, reducing weapon velocity, etc.
-Ships are considered out of the fight when shields go down. Once a ship's shields fail, it is out of the fight and must retreat. It cannot fire or be fired upon.
-All military tactics, save for ones like ramming, are valid. It's essentially a non-lethal military skirmish
-Usually conducted with other nations for a mutual benefit; rarely conducted among strictly NeoRoman fleets.
-Hosts a wide variety of missions in a wide variety of conditions, from escort missions in dust clouds to dogfights in asteroid fields, or a skirmish over a planet.
-NOTE THAT THIS IS BASICALLY A MILITARY SKIRMISH: So outline your tactics for the defense/offense and we will decide who wins. We also need the force sizes. Remember, numbers don't always win.

The Strigiforme Fleets 36 and 37 will patrol around the package, one on the x axis and the other on the y, spread evenly to detect hostiles, and within communications range with the other forces. The Quick Response Fleet, Carrier fleet, and Fleet 38 will remain near the package, with the Carriers supplying strike craft to the rest of the ships and the QRF ready to rush against any major attack. Fleet 38 will remain in full force protecting the package, and will borrow the other Fleet's Shield Ships.

ORION:

Orion will maintain a defense perimeter using the 5th fleet, all within communications range, around the package. This perimeter will not engage enemies, but merely log their location and relay the coordinates to the other two fleets. The 2nd fleet will remain on patrol standby, and when the 5th fleet relays a particularly large force to it, it will jump in around the fleet and take it out. The 1st fleet will maintain a tight defense screen around the package under a silent-running mode, only activating when the 2nd fleet goes down. It will use shielding and long-range tactics, as well as flak and laser screens, to block out enemy forces. The Colossus will not be participating in the engagement (NeoRoman order) and will merely be observing.

Orion Compositions
Spoiler:
1st Fleet:
2 Battleships
6 Cruisers
4 Destroyers
20 Frigates
1 Carrier

2nd Fleet:
3 Battlecruisers
8 Cruisers
2 Destroyers
15 Frigates

5th Fleet:
2 Battlecruisers
5 Cruisers
20 Frigates
NeoRome:

The First Battle Fleet will split up in three groups and probe three locations of the defense perimeter, eliminating any enemies before securing the points. If no enemies are encountered, they will advance while searching for the package in a spaced out formation. Enemy contacts will be engaged from long range. The second fleet will provide long-range fire support on the main force, and will engage directly should the other attacks fail. It's main objective is to disorient and confuse enemy fleets, and will constantly move firing locations to prevent lock on. The Third Battle Fleet will warp directly to the package once it is found, launching missiles and creating flak and laser screens on the enemy fleet that is guaranteed to be guarding the package itself. Fighters will also be launched to perform surgical strikes on ships doing the most damage.

NeoRoman Fleet Compositions
Spoiler:
First Battle Fleet:
3 Heavy Battleships
6 Battlecruisers
12 Cruisers
4 Destroyer Destroyers
15 Frigates

Second Battle Fleet:
5 Long-range Battlecruisers
15 Assault Cruisers
5 Destroyers
10 Frigates

Third Battle Fleet:
2 Battleships
10 Cruisers
4 Destroyers
20 Frigates
2 Carriers, 50 fighters each

The wargames were a nice idea, Fenway. It seems these empire rps are just feel-good simulators more often than not, but you found a way to circumnavigate that without rustling anyone's jimmies.

Fleet:
23 Scarlet frigates [Very fast at cost of heavy weaponry, armed with special disruptor torpedoes and AA system, stealth system]
3 Wolfhound escort carriers [A small carrier, just to cary a small complement of fighters . 20 each one]
9 Firestorm artillery frigates [ Armed with a long range particle weapon,it is adept of "bombardment fire" . Fast engines, stealth system]
3 Noxus battlecruisers [ A cruiser with more engines to outmanuever other big ships. 3 weapon racks of 26 railguns at each side grands a powerfull ally in broadside combat.]

The Darkstar fast response fleet will be operating in a "blitzkrieg" kind of combat, rellying on Heexalan ships for the "heavy combat"

The frigates will be flying fast to enter in "knife fight" range with big ships, unloading a salvo of anti-capital ship torpedoes [JAVELIN] and getting out as fast as possible. For this, they are counting on a the CBT [Cyclonic Barrier Technology] for the opening volley.

Firestorm frigates will give priority to high value targets,as the hadron cannon is design to overload shields and do severe damage from afar. Other than that, they will harrass enemy targets from afar with artillery

Fighters will be flying around the fleet to give fast response to incoming torpedoes and intercepting other fighters.

The 3rd MQR fleet is mostly composed of fast, highly maneuverable ships with powerful forward weaponry.
It will be split into two battleclusters and one support group:

The first is composed of the Typhoon-class strike cruisers in the fleet and will actively perform hit-and-run tactics on Hexalani forces (and Darkstar forces, should they be detected), taking out ships while attempting to get others to direct their forces away from the guarded package. They will engage with their "tactical stealth"(a device that doesn't hide their presence like normal stealth, but rather confuses sensors about their location and keeping them from getting exact sensor reads - while the actual position of the ship can be determined after some time, it makes it hard to aim during their first attack) activated and focus the spinal psionic weapons of every two Typhoons on one Hexalani ship (1 Typhoon only if it is a particularily small one), aiming for securely taking down some ships (the small ammount of estimated firepower needed is a result of Hexalani shield tech being relatively new and therefore propably not very strong compared to other factions' shields, while their advantage in hull strenght is irrelevant in NeoRomena war games) (5 typhoons will be used per target should it be a Darkstar ship, accounting for their stronger shields. Also the ammount of typhoons used in a run against a single ship will be adjusted if the standard numbers prove to be overkill or insufficient), in a single attack run, after which they will retreat, usually away from the package or into a direction normal to that of the package in an attempt to get them away.

The second battlecluster is composed of most of the remaining ships (mostly Halberd-class destroyers, they are about the same size as Typhoons, but while still fairly quich for their size, they are quite slow and clumsy in comparison to the Typhoons. However, they carry much more of a punch than the Typhoons, with three fixed-forward main cannons and a much larger turret loadout.) and will assist the Orion forces with defending the package as a response force, similar to the Orion 2nd fleet, but not intercepting an enemy until the 2nd fleet is in serious trouble or a second attacker force shows up, essentially acting as backup.

The support group will be composed of support ships, mostly psionic warfare specialized. They will attempt to cover the entire target area and use their psionic sensors with comparison to the readings by the Orion 5th fleet to determine the position of Darkstar ships (even their stealth is unable to hide from psionics, as for that specialized psionic countermeasures are required and Darkstar does not have advanced psionics at this point.) to allow for their position to be taken into account when directing the other fleets. Other MQR ships will also use psionic sensors for targeting when attacking Darkstar ships. Darkstar forces are reserved for attack by the MQR, as the OC does not have psionics that would allow them to target cloaked Darkstar ships.

Composition:
Spoiler:
1st Battlecluster
  • 35 Typhoon-class strike cruisers
2nd Battlecluster
  • 28 Halberd-class destroyers
    13 Crimson-class missile frigates
    38 Freedom-class pinnaces
Support group
  • 22 Minor-P-class psionic warfare ships
    10 Fox-class multirole frigates
PS: keep in mind that each of the Pyphoon and Halberd-class ships carries a squadron of fighters/bombers (evenly distributed along the ships), but the Typhoons will only deploy them if they do get into a defensive situation or get called back to assist at defending the package when/if it comes under attack.

The Tajerian carriers, cruiser, and supply ships will stay back near the package with the strigiforme running fighter/bomber runs and protection. The scout ships will maintain a roving sensor net around the far perimeter of the package relaying any spotted enemy ships to the carrier force and strigiforme and if spotted will play hokey and attempt to lure the forces away from the package.

Carrier fleet composition:
3 Advanced Scouts
-Wartime scouts with long range scanners and stealth equipment
1 Missile Cruiser
-Average size cruiser with 20 Antiship missile silos
3 Small Carriers
-hold 40 strikecraft and is armed with 40(10 for all sides of ship) small tri-barel flak cannons.
2 Supply Ships
-Floating cargo tubs with warp engines

Shit what am I doing I can't tactics

BIC:
The 1st Fleet will mostly remain in the background and use long-range weapons such as railguns and missiles. The carriers will be assisting the 2nd Fleet.
The 2nd Fleet will deploy fighters, frigates and lancers to attack the enemy in quick swarm attacks. The battlecruisers will protect the carriers.
Escort ships will protect the carriers and battlecruisers, two per ship, and four escorts protecting the dreadnought. Remaining escorts will protect the lancers.
The dreadnought and most of the battlecruisers are equipped to attempt to hack and scramble enemy systems, communications and computers.
Spoiler:
1st Fleet:
1 Dreadnought, Pride of Zuguth
10 Battlecruisers
5 Heavy Carriers
15 Lancers
40 Escorts
55 Frigates
275 Fighters

2nd Fleet:
7 Battlecruisers
5 Heavy Carriers
25 Lancers
35 Escorts
50 Frigates
250 Fighters

Carriers carry 50 fighters and 10 frigates each, the dreadnought carries 25 fighters and 5 frigates.
(I have no idea if these are reasonable numbers I can't SciFi battles and space tactics.)
