Combining information on the Solari AI and Zuguthian AIs, TechTron Industries have been authorized to attempt to make an AI similar to the Solari one, capable of imagining and producing things by itself. It is hoped that Zuguthian technology and AI knowledge will help in making a more refined and efficient version of the Solari AI, but nothing is certain.
Zuguthian researchers are also offered to help the Solari in studying their AI, would they accept.

"Commander, several teams went dark. Jahgrin went in alone, and we're not sure what happened to him."

"Ma'am, Glaive Three just started their return, but last report said they went down."

Mayala growled quietly. "Take the boat out. If that psijammer inmthe cargo bay works, power it up."

- - -
As the small assault shuttle approached, one of the battlecarrier's forward guns locked on and fired, the pair of 150mm shells blasting it apart before the occupants could even react. Two other batteries began selective fire, slamming explosives into the transport, careful to avoid their marines.

- - -
Corporal Legaan cursed quietly. Two of his point-soldiers down. Steadying his lance rifle, he carefully sighted down the hall, spotting a gaping hole in the bulkhead.

Carefully, quietly advancing, he spotted movement - someone throuh the gap. Moving up beside it, still blocking his precense psionically, he rounded the corner, lined up the rifle mere centimeters from the targwt, and fired, the shell barely reaching peak velocity as it smalled into the Operative's torso.

As the man was shoved forward, he followed up with three more rounds.

OOC: How can he have shot after the Operative went THROUGH A BULKHEAD into another room. Legaan wouldn't have been able to get a shot, as there was flying debris everywhere.

The Operative fell forward, dead, just as Jahgrin yelled, "NO! DON'T KILL HIM!" It was too late, however, The Operative's body melted away, nothing was left, not a single strand of DNA.
On the assault boat, the operatives were blown out into space when it was ripped apart. Miraculously, only one of them was killed. The other two activated their suit jets, and began streaking toward the battlecarrier, determined to cause damage before dying. Reaching the carrier, the entered through the hangar, killing everyone that they saw, mostly pilots and service personnel, but a squad of marines was slaughtered as well. They then proceeded to breach the door leading deeper into the ship from the hangars.

Detecting the boarders, the ship's AI sealed off the compartments they were in. Activating internal shielding, it informed the defense teams, and squads in sealed battlearmour were sent.

- - -

Aboard the ship, Legaan hauled Jahgrin upright.

"Apologies, sir, but sometimes one needs to shoot first and ask questions later. We should probably," he noted, pulling Jahgrin towards his shuttle, "get out of here before my ship blows this thing to hell-and-gone."

- - -
Back aboard the Novan vessel, the defense teams had confined the two boarders to a storage locker. The team leader, considering his options, signalled for a pair of stun grenades to be thrown in, then the doors sealed.

The dull thump-thump of the grenades went off, then the two shotgun-equipped troops entered, disarming the rather dazed boarders and allowing other security officers to cuff them. Removing the attackers' helmets, they hauled them off towards the brig, another squad taking tneir weapons for analysis.

Jahgrin went with the shuttle back to the Novan vessel, entering through the hanger. As he boarded the ship, he asked several guards where the boarders were, before going through the ship to the brig. He removed his helmet and activated a small electric weapon. He entered the brig and immediately noticed the two boarders, subdued in their cell. He opened the first and jammed the weapon into the first's suit, delivering a high voltage, low amperage electric shock. The operative's suit arced and smoke was released, and Jahgrin released the weapon. The first operative stared at him with a steely, intense hatred. Jahgrin entered the second cell and delivered the shock again until the suit emitted smoke and arced, and then sat down in a chair in the hallway, watching them both. He completed a small sensor scan- no electronics were active in either operative.

Upon reexamining the code of the AI, it's been found that it has been found that it's efficiency is much higher than before, and the 3 bugs that were intentionally left were gone. This information is being withheld from the TFA.

OOC: You can't remove these guys' equipment without the proper codes, Error.

The captured operatives, knowing that they couldn't be taken, said, "Well boys, it was fun, but we're going to have to say goodbye." They bit down on as special pill that was in their mouths. The toxin killed them near-instantaneously, but the suits only partially disintegrated the bodies, as the circuitry had been damaged. Their bodies now resembled a charred, red pulp, and nothing of value could be removed from the suit, other than the design itself.
---
Chancellor Yiet was reading the after action report from the first Blackstar mission ever. Resounding success, although all operatives were lost. That wasn't a problem, however. Tellaeya was dead, and nobody knew who did it. He picked up the comms device, and called Tellaeya at Deep Space 1, "The operation was successful." Tellaeya replied in a cold voice, "Yes, I realized that Operation Black Reaper was successful. The operatives are all back, and are being told about what happened."

Wait, how much ship is actually being built during one single boarding operation?

This ship is actually fairly small for a dreadnought. as for how much, we're currently installing the last of the frame work. And keep in mind almost 700,000 people are building this.

Jahgrin activated the stasis cell's levitation and began to guide it through the hallways back to his own cruiser, which had docked to the Novan cruiser. Commander Mayala walked beside them. The two bodies and suits of the operatives were inside the stasis cell; they would be kept perfectly preserved for laboratory analysis. Jahgrin sighed as he rounded a corner. "This is very suspicious," he said.

"How so?" Mayala asked.

"A little story. Telleaya was a military and strategic genius, considering how he so easily blasted away the NeoRoman forces during the war." They rounded another corner and headed towards the docking connection. "We were training him to be an admiral for the military."

"Admiral? Isn't it a little dangerous to have your enemy command your fleet?"

"We didn't expect any problems." Jahgrin shook his head. "During the initial training phase were holographic battles. He would command a fleet and complete certain objectives."

"And?"

"He failed every one." They stopped at the docking connection, and an officer emerged from the cruiser. He saluted and then took the pod into Jahgrin's ship, while Jahgrin followed Mayala back to the bridge of the Novan ship. "And he should have passed them easily. It doesn't fit."

"And then he was assassinated."

"Precisely. As if someone doesn't want us to know that he's a fake."

"A fake?"

"The only explanation for the loss of skill is cloning, which fundamentally alters memories and affinities. While personality remains intact, memories of tasks and events are damaged in the process. While memories can be implanted again, skills have to be regained." They rounded a corner and entered a lift to the upper deck.

"But nobody has that kind of technology, except..."

"Except the Novan Commonwealth. You." Jahgrin paused. "Telleaya was transported on a hospital ship, which was subsequently hijacked. We don't know who hijacked it, but Telleaya ended up in Strigiforme hands."

"So whoever hijacked it cloned Telleaya and we got the clone."

"Exactly. Which means that Telleaya is still alive. And if these operatives are any indication, she's in a position of power. Somewhere. There are few nations with operatives of this skill and equipment."

"Darkstar comes to mind."

"Darkstar is the most likely. And they're best buddies with each other. We know they openly share technology with each other, and training routines." The lift stopped and they reached the bridge. They walked out towards the control center.

"You think Orion is behind this?"

"Possibly. But it could be anyone. But there's more reason to suspect Orion than just this. Admiral Farlin forwarded this report to me." As he said this last sentence, he pulled out a data-pad and pressed a few keys on it, bringing up Farlin's report.

"A scan report on Orion ships?"

"Yes. Take a look at the weapon signatures, third line. That signature almost precisely matches the signature of the Fusion Coil Splicer."

"I thought NeoRoman technology couldn't be replicated."

"And so did I. I don't know if that's a fusion coil splicer any more than you. Plenty of weapons have similar signatures. But I've never seen this signature on Orion ships before." Mayala sighed.

"So what now?" Mayala looked out the bridge. "We have no leads and no evidence, but suspicion." Jahgrin sighed.

"We have nothing. I have my suspicions and i'm going to look into it." He started to walk away, then stopped. He turned back. "One more thing. Not a word of this conversation to your superiors. I don't care if it violates standard protocol. You and I both know that neither the NeoRoman council nor your government will take any of this seriously. We'll get caught up in bureaucratic bullshit and nothing will get done. Stay in contact." Jahgrin turned around and walked out of the bridge back to his cruiser.

OOC: Also, Middie has permission to basically rush-build his dreadnought. The explanation for this will arrive later (Story reasons!)

Rescinded; as the OP of story and as this is non-canon, dreadnought production will continue as it has. Fen, you already fucked up my story.
