Hierarch Krtiil has decided to end Imperator Telleaya's relief support early and begin training him for a position as Admiral in the NeoRoman fleet. Seeing that he was effectively a strategic and tactical genius during the Imperium war, he is expected to pass the trials very quickly, cutting the time down from months of training to mere days.
Aboard Heretic's End
"The Strigiforme sent their newest fleet?" Admiral Gulhav stared at the message, a slight look of surprise on his face. He then shook his head. "Well this will be interesting."
"All systems are ready to monitor the war-games from a distance," interjected an officer, who just walked in behind him. Gulhav turned around and the officer saluted.
"We're just directing this. We may be trying to gain insight on what they're building, but i'm not risking a diplomatic incident. We only monitor. No tracking devices, probes, or anything will return with the fleet."
"Understood sir."
"You're dismissed." At this, the officer walked away, and Gulhav turned towards the sensor screen behind him. The Strigiforme fleet was just arriving. He switched on a communication channel. "This is admiral Gulhav of the N.R.S Heretic's End, an experimental sensor ship. We'll be monitoring the war-games from afar." He paused for a second. "We'll conduct the first skirmish in 2 hours, a station defense and attack mission based around the Halley IV.A Military Base."

Re: Where we Left Off
Research on the psionic jamming systems recently deployed over Menya has revealed that it should be possible to "tune" the device, blocking certain individuals and allowing others to use their own psionic abilities without interference.
Additionally, some research into foldspace and hyperspatial FTL drives has revealed some interesting possibilities.
The battlecarrier Valereia has returned to the Milky Way and is en route to a point near NeoRoman space.

Mark signed, thumping his forehead on the desk. Another bloody domestic incident that, somehow, ascended to his level and reminded him the Strigiforme within his nation were not... adjusted, yet.
Picking up the phone, he tapped in a comms-code and contacted an old friend.
"Admiral Apotheus speaking."
"Admiral. I'm sorry to bother you, but we've gotten another bloody abuse case on Hahnsak. I'd like you to take teams Kappa and Mu over, and tell them to find out what the hel's going on."
A slight pause.
"Why kappa and mu, Mark? Beta is closer, and have their ship to hand."
"Because Kappa has a sense of tact, and Mu are a buncy of sneaky bastards. Besides, if six-oh-one is actove there, all the better to have two teams on hand."
"Very well. They should be in place by... noon tomorrow, local time."
"Much obliged, Admiral. Out."
Setting the phone down, Mark gazed upwards at the mural on the ceiling.
Couldn't leave well enough alone, you bastard.

Re: Where we Left Off
Construction ships have been sent to Menya to rebuild and repair cities and infrastructure. Other than the obligatory shields, the only things they carry are heavy duty 3D constructors, and materials to feed them. Since the damage done is relatively small and the constructors are so efficient, it is assumed that the planet will be almost completely repaired in between one and three months. A memorial hall and museum will be constructed in the Menyan capital city, dedicated to the factions that helped in the reconquest, and the Zuguthian military wishes to decorate notable commanding officers from these factions with honorary medals, would the factions accept.
A special unit will be deployed to guard the cultist bunker, melted shut by Novan nukes, in case the cultists were to break out. There still has not been made a decision as to whether or not the unit will attempt to break into the bunker and execute the cultists for their crimes.

Re: Where we Left Off
A prototype particle-beam weapon, the PHR/X "Phoenix" cannon, is being test-mounted aboard Pegasus. The weapon is intended to fire a stream of small metal pellets (2cm diameter) at extreme velocity. Lab tests have indicated beam speeds in excess of 155,000km/s.
Unfortunately, the power consumption necessitated capacitors and a 50-second charge time, but the weapon is expected to cause massive damage to any ship it hits. Live-fire tests will occur over Aerila in a day.

Re: Where we Left Off
The Zuguthian's offer of decoration has been voluntarily accepted by all participating commanding forces. The Hexalani forces that had been dispatched have arrived, the few casualties will be promptly replaced. Fleets 12, 13, and 14 are to be engaging in prototype testing from a research facility not far outside the border, the same facility where the artifacts recovered from Darthon space were shipped to. It is presumed what has been uncovered may be of significant importance, and will be deduced to see if that holds true.

Re: Where we Left Off
Chancellor Yiet was looking over the specifications for the new dreadnought that was being built. He was very impressed.
New Weapon:
Aboard Deep Space 1, August Tellaeya was briefing Blackstar for its first mission. "Your task is to assassinate my clone. Have no qualms about this. You will pose as traders, and blend in with the ships in the NeoRoman space lanes... once you get to the training facility where he is being made an admiral, you will pose as military police rotating in for duty at the facility... here are the IDs and the codes for access to the station... all of your equipment is completely sterile, no marks whatsoever, and the energy casings for your weapons can't be traced. good luck. You'll succeed, I know that you will."
A couple of hours later, 3 men and 2 women passed through NeoRoman border security, with Novan identification and a traders licence. They merged into civilian spacelanes in NeoRoman space. The border security station logged the entry, then forgot about it. Just another ship passing through.
OOC: These haven't appeared in the RP for a while... BLACKHAWK missiles are basically missiles that warp through shields and have 1 megaton nuclear warheads.

Re: Where we Left Off
OOC, that ship will be MIND BLOWINGLY expensive and probably take years to build.
Also, with that energy array, I sense you won't be able to fire all your energy weapons in one go. Not without issues.
And the only other issue I see is nukes =/= cheap, so that thing will cost even more. Your wallet will BLEED just looking at it.
At least, IMO.

ALL THE HOURS.
AI: Done.
Meta: The AI seems to be cooperating for the most part, though it does sometimes ignore the questions we ask to ask it's own. It's prefered pronoun is 'She'. She has asked us permission to try out her building mechanism. We have granted her permission to do so.

Re: Where we Left Off
OOC: Most of it is just standard stuff... nukes are insanely cheap, point defense lasers are cheap, flak batteries are cheap, gauss cannons are like the cheapest things ever... they're just magnets with a case... look at the Aurora or Aigaiion (is that how you spell it?). And how the hell would I not be able to fire everything at once? The only sustained beam weapons are the Neutron Accelerators, and it has 5 reactors, one being antimatter.

OOC
...if you say so, but the thing will take years to build (barring a rather OP shipyard) and be ridiculously expensive (as a whole, you are mounting hundreds of weapons and a hell of a lot of armour.

Re: Where we Left Off
-Training Station X-3A, high orbit over Antioch-
"What the hell was that?" asked Jahgrin, presiding over the training facility. The last simulation ended in failure; Telleaya did not successfully protect the civilians as they evacuated. Jahgrin sighed and turned towards the control room operators. "Explain to me what happened."
"While focusing on one fleet," replied the simulation specialist, "Telleaya failed to notice a small fighter group approaching from the opposite direction. Their nuclear warheads quickly decimated the civilian ships."
"This isn't right." Jahgrin paced around the room. "Restart with another simulation. Telleaya was a military genius. Something's wrong." The simulation was booted up again, and Jahgrin exited the control room.
-Training Station X3-A Traffic Control Room-
"Inbound transport ship, transmit ID codes, security clearance, and purpose of entry." There was a pause at the other end.
"Transmitting ID codes and clearance now." The operator took a look at the screen in front of him. The codes matched and the clearance was valid.
"Your codes are valid Delta-34. Purpose for docking?"
"Military guard rotation," replied the ship. The operator opened up a schedule log and scanned for upcoming rotations. He found one... 4 hours later. He turned back towards the screen.
"Delta-34, your rotation is not due for another 2 hours." There was a pause on the other end, for a few seconds.
"Command informed us that our arrival time was now. Transmitting the message." The operator looked back at the screen and brought up the transmitted message. He scanned over it, noting the contents. It appeared legitimate.
"Acknowledged Delta-34, appears to be an honest mistake. You are cleared for approach on vector 24, docking bay three." The operator took a look at the security clearance again. "One more thing. As of 5 hours ago, security clearance for Holographic Training Center Four has been raised 5 levels. You are not cleared to enter this area. Your shifts will be adjusted accordingly around this."
"Understood X3-A. Any explanation?"
"Negative. I don't know any more than you." At this time, the screen began slightly flashing. The aforementioned docking bay had emptied. "Docking bay is clear. Begin approach."

OOC: The Colossus as it exists right now is basically double the firepower of the Aurora, and the Aurora is the biggest ship in the NeoRoman Fleet. NeoRome could likely build it in 1 year (Building it in modules rather than in one go, rushing everything, civilian subcontracting, etc.) but it would be ridiculously expensive to do so; NeoRome would probably take 4 years to build it. The Aurora took 2 years, for example.

-Aboard Valereia-
"Antioch control, this is CSV Valereia. We are on approach with the Novan ambassador. Request permission for landing and transfer of embassy staff."
The comms officer held a hand to his ead, listening to the return message.
"Understood, we will hold in our current position until we are clear for descent."
Aforementioned ambassador glanced at the comms officer. "Trouble?"
"Something about civilian traffic. Shouldn't be long, Commander."
"I see." Pciking up the comms handset, she activated the intercom. "All hands, prepare for planetary landing. Set condition Delta throughout the ship. Repeat, prepare for planetary landing. Set condition Delta throughout the ship."
The comms officer listened to an incoming message.
"Copy control. Request directions to a suitable landing field, exact gravity, wind speed and weather over the landing site."
