Iv, because Austria and Israel are two radically different states with different values and different tendencies. I'm a fan of big government myself, but it's the same reason certain people are so opposed to socialistic policies over here despite the fact countries like Switzerland thrive on them - different populations with different cultures.
@ ACH Nah that’s just what the local Arab families are doing (If it works here it will sure as hell work in Austria), and in their favor I might add that this phenomenon is currently o the downside, perhaps they got tired of too many wives ... Im sure you’ll find other ways to make them more profitable such as making them handicapped or focusing on a different direction entirely !

Pretty sure its not true, especially in the Muslim regions of the country. Its hard enough to get a house there for money ... Plus even in that case by "house" they will prob mean a one room / two room apartment at best, they got quite a lot of those actually, as well as communal apartments where each family gets one room in a 5-6 room apartment where they share a kitchen, toilet etc.
