Hexalan appeared again before the group, "Well, I've got some bad news. And, before you ask, no, I didn't kill anyone."

((Who's that?))
"Good now let's all get along. I'm Solari, this is Valerie " He said making a gesture to val "And the person you saw running in after me was Hexalan." Solari holstered his pistols on his back, then noted the ever so slight dent in the shoulder of his armour.

Re: Futurecraft and the Universe
Ok, so while the piping Strigiforme used was wide enough for him to pass, the grating wasn't. So now, after a little searching and stalking people, he had found a large enough opening to pass through. He saw them meeting below, with lots of guns and dangerous things. He heard Taln offer to sing; he'd always been the most musical of them.
Strigiforme threw a chunk of metal at a slightly distant box, prompting them to draw weapons and look that way. He now leapt silently from the grating, his owl abilities making him silent. He spread his wings, preparing for a group hug.

Hexalan's LIDAR lit up, whatever the other thing was didn't matter. She turned around to the descending thing and was extremely close to filling the bastard with holes, but it was too late. Strigiforme was upon them.

Solari quickly unholstered his weapons then pointed them in the direction of the sound for a few seconds, however he noticed the light was becoming dimmer. he then turned around and saw strigiforme. however realising what strigiforme was about to do, he leapt backwards out of the way, leaving a dent where he landed.

Re: Futurecraft and the Universe
Strigiforme was upon them. Solari, who barely escaped the first strike, would soon be defeated. As for the rest, Strigiforme wrapped his big, soft, feathery wings around them, bringing them to his chest in a tight hug. Those involved might remark that he smelled of pipe smoke and dust.
"IT'S BEEN AGES! YOU'VE ALL GROWN SO MUCH!" Shouted Strigiforme, as he hugged them tighter. He began nuzzling his beak in among them affectionately, just like he had done when they were but little hatchlings. Surely they hadn't forgotten him?
Just so you know, Strigiforme is basically the ancestor of all present and more; at some point, the Strigiforme Empire controlled some or all of the stars in every empire, meaning that part of them was part of him, making him the grandfather, seeing as the age difference is massive.

"Ugh..." the sigh escaped Hexalan's covered lips. Her vision through the visor was filled with his feathers.

Zuguth walked into the hallway where the others were grouped together.
"All right guys, I don't know if Hexalan has already told you, but until we find another station the rail system is-"
Then he noticed the large owl hugging them.
"Strigiforme? Wow, it's been a while."

Re: Futurecraft and the Universe
Strigiforme continued hugging them for a little while, until he let them fall gently to the ground. They looked at him funnily, as if they didn't know who he was.
He gestured at the door with a wing. "Follow me; we can have a nice luncheon at my home while we catch up."
Strigiforme thought fondly of his little den, with its nice candles made with wax from the bees on the nearby habitation deck, and its tasty fresh produce and meat. He had been here a while, and had made a comfy place for himself. He was glad to share it with his grandchildren, even if they hadn't turned out as owly as he would have liked.
F-f-f-f-flashback!
Strigiforme, now much younger, sat across from a young looking human woman with several babies.
"Please, care for my children" asked the woman, Terra.
"I can't promise they will turn out as you want them to." replied Strigiforme, gravely.
"That's fine; I want them to be human too, but only they can choose their path."
"Very well. I've also promised to take on some other children from your siblings; they'll grow up with frieds, at least." At this, Strigiforme gestured to a number of cradles holding weird alien babies.
Many years later....
"God, I never thought teenagers could rebel so much!"

Re: Futurecraft and the Universe
Val stared at Strigiforme, unamused. Leaping up, she grabbed a wing, pulling herself up to his head and gently thumping his beak.
"No surprises. This lot forgot how to use their safeties. But I will admit, it's nice to see you."
And with that, she swung around and hugged his neck.
OOC, LS, you're in.
And ACH, Val's Novus and Aurelian's kid, so technically you didn't raise her. But you are Great Grandpa Strigiforme, if (slightly) creepy.

Re: Futurecraft and the Universe
Strigiforme raised most everyone because the Strigiforme controlled some world in each empire at some point in the past. This renders them part of their past, therefore, grandfather.
