W8 you were actually making ww2 guns too ?

Yeah, I'm doing some of them, the British guns and possibly Russian or Japanese. Doesn't take long, I can get a model made, textured, coded and configures in about 40 minutes.

That and there was a side clip animation mentioned in the code, but not actually defined, so I reconfigured one of the other animations to load from the side so I could make the Sten.

I've only got the Webley left to do on the British guns, after that I'll see if War_Monger wants help with any others.

These aren't for any of my packs, this is for THE ww2 pack Flan runs.

It disturbs me a bit that Flan's farming out the work of creating content for his packages at the same time as monetizing his mod via the Patreon thing. IMO either of those things would be OK, but both at once seems a bit sleazy.

To be fair the people who help do get a bit of free publicity out of it, though I do agree in terms of morality what he's doing is a bit iffy.

Well you cant expect to get money for that one, you can say you donated those textures, the vast majority of the work there is of the creator thus he deserves the money (unless he actually just collects part from everyone including you)

He hasn't asked us to do this, we offered to do this bit. This is a really simple task, and means he gets more time to fix those damn physics bugs (and Flan makes models the hard way, so wha takes me 40 minutes could take him a few hours). He's not farming it out, and didn't ask us to do any of it. War_Monger is also a pretty good friend of Flan.


And to be honest, I see nothing wrong with the Patreon thing, considering he's a student he probably isn't swimming in money. So long as he isn't forcing anyone to give him money I see no issue, anyone who donates does so out of their own choice.
That and I may have previously told you he was a teacher, this is false, he's a student at Oxford, and it's exam season. I can't blame him for not having either time or money.


That and he probably makes more of adf.ly, which has been there since the start.

And Iv, nobody is getting paid here.

@Jedi, You probably should have been credited for those, War got credited for some of the plane skins, but then again those require a fair bit more work than icons. I didn't get credited for the M14 and SAW models, but I told Flan I didn't want any credit.
