Considering this equation contains an undefined variable P I think its not as simple as "describing a ball", for the later it will be enough to only use P = 2 to get the norm of a given vector aka the distance to (0,0,0,...) which is BTW the center of this ball in R^n .

K lets begin with basics: R^n is the dimension we are working in: R^2 is 2D, R^3 is 3D, R^n is nD, in other words your "ball" (At this point it cant be a ball anymore) is a collection of all vectors in your dimension, in R^n, who’s distance from 0 point is below the radius or in other words all point inside your multi-dimensional "ball". All of that will be true if P=2, as for what P itself and its meaning you will have to explain me yourselves, for example if we are to use P = 1 this is not going to be a ball anymore for sure, many points that were supposed to be inside the ball with a radius of r are now left out, that is why this equasion cannot describe a ball by any means.
