Quick
Re: Quick
The surface of Pluto is ~98% nitrogen. Plutonium isn't found anywhere in more than trace amounts, and by trace I mean a couple of parts per trillion within uranium deposits, keeping in mind that uranium itself is very rare.Ivan2006 wrote:Uranus is a gas planet tho, so even if there was Uranium or Plutonium, it would be at the very core and extremely hard to get.
For Pluto, I don't think they even know what it's made out of yet because they only got shitty pics and never actually sent a probe there.

That gives me an idea. What if we added URANIUM to minecraft to craft guns and stuff? It would be rarer than diamond so naturally that means balance isn't a consideration!Kzin wrote:The surface of Pluto is ~98% nitrogen. Re: Quick
Use diamond. Diamonds inexplicably turn into anything in this kind of suggestion.
BTW, speaking of diamonds, I hear they aren't even that rare. Apparently it's just one company that has a monopoly on the resource and carefully regulates the supply so as to maximize demand.

Re: Quick
That isn't totally inaccurate, I'm sure it used to be something like that, at least with the African mines.
And I can use a weapons box as an alchemy station or something.

Thanks, DeBeers and Ciesel Rhodes, you hoodwinked more generations than most before with your lies about diamonds and Rhodesia.

IIRC the problem with diamonds is that they're super rare everywhere except the couple of places where they're not, and where they're not you can pick them up with a shovel.Chairman Tiel wrote:Use diamond. Diamonds inexplicably turn into anything in this kind of suggestion.

Re: Quick
Not really. You're thinking about coal, which is formed largely from Carboniferous-era swamps. Diamonds are made of carbon, which is indeed the basis for life, but most diamonds were formed not only hundreds of miles underground but also billions of years ago, while multicellular (Why the hell does the forum spellcheck believe in 'unicellular' but not 'multicellular'?) life needed to form that kind of deposit has only existed for a billion or so years. The carbon in diamonds comes from carbon-rich minerals.Shadowcat wrote:In reality diamonds are just dead things, So everyone rich is wearing dead stuff.Kzin wrote:IIRC the problem with diamonds is that they're super rare everywhere except the couple of places where they're not, and where they're not you can pick them up with a shovel.Chairman Tiel wrote:Use diamond.
