Re: FC content pack flan's [SUPERTHREADNAUGHT]
A thought for the future - possibly a Gepard-style antiaircraft tank? Maybe using the Leviathan chassis?

Re: FC content pack flan's [SUPERTHREADNAUGHT]
I reviewed the edited model and there are still some key points that were either not discussed or not really fully fixed. Really the only thing we got was the slope of the back...
If I redesign, then I'll be able to implement more of the ideas I've had since I designed it (which was last year so...) and it will be better, I'll be much happier, it'll be easier to model, but it'll be more work for us.
If you remodel it, then it'll be more work for you and you'd have to work more along the design, but it would be closer to the original.
If we do some more editing, it probably won't get to a point to where we're both satisfied, but it probably wound't take quite as long as a complete remodel.

Re: FC content pack flan's [SUPERTHREADNAUGHT]
I think a redesign is needed, the original design is pretty much impossible on my end.
EDIT: yeah, definitely redesign, this body isn't going to work. If it's in the same sort of boat as the legs and arms you've done it should be a tonne easier, as I could do the majority in Techne, rather than in notepad. That and the level of detail on this body is massively lower than the arms/legs, so a more detailed (or one I can detail myself) would look much better.

Re: FC content pack flan's [SUPERTHREADNAUGHT]
I've started the redesign, it should be done by tonight but I'll not make any promises.
The weapons I've made so far (designs on previous page):
Light Long-Range Autocannon Array Mark III (LRAC 3):
The Peregrine's signature weapon. A dual-barreled solid fuel combustion rifle capable of delivering a quick, moderate punch over significant range. Relatively cheap to produce, durable, and easy to maintain.
General Electric GAU-36/C Paladin:
An older weapon, the relatively light build of which fits nicely into the Peregrine's arsenal. The Paladin is a gatling-style eight barreled solid combustion rifle that fires 50mm projectiles at a high rate of fire over medium- to long-range. First produced before the dissolution of Earth's United Nations, it is one of the oldest effective weapons used by the major factions.
Slip-Merge Fissure Projection Device (XW-117-II) Specter
Similar to the weaponized Slip-Merge drives used on some Batiss Combine warships in the latter half of the third millennium CE, the Specter is an experimental device that produces a small opening to hyperspace on a target along the weapon's line of sight. This opening can be catastrophic to the target and surrounding area, producing a large spacial vacuum that releases a large amount of energy in the form of intense gravitation, radiation, or another kind. The effects and function of the XW-117 system is still rather unpredictable. This unpredictability, along immense cost and low rate of fire, is prohibitive, but the effect balances these negative points.
There's also the Gauss Rifle and PAC but I don't feel like doing those ATM.

Re: FC content pack flan's [SUPERTHREADNAUGHT]
I'm in France at the moment, so so don't worry, take your time.
I also want to try my hand at a really high detailed model at some point, migh do a L98 as I'm familiar with the design, won't be used for FC (although the British Army aren't going to make a rifle with a different design anytime soon) but there's a few things I want to experiment with. If these techniques work I'll probably use them on the Peregrine's weaponry and the rail weapons.

Re: FC content pack flan's [SUPERTHREADNAUGHT]
i did the weapons in photoshop and have a few drawings of the Peregrine redesign.
Profile. Legs are a teensie bit disproportional but i just drew them to see how they would look. I'll put it in the computer and make a few changes, maybe draw one or tow more angles.
(shitty blurry mobile upload) This is the center torso thing. I made a few versions of the back. Didn't draw the sides because they'd be hidden by the side torso pieces.
(shitty blurry mobile upload) I drew the pilot a little... too... close... to the front of the thing but
A shitty perspective from inside the cockpit (drawn hastily)

Prob is cats its nothing new you bring to the table, we've all seen the same in 100 variations here already. Also the amount of grain hurts my eyes -.- .

We seriously do need some tool arms for mechs. Guns are nice an all but I want a mountable giant atomic disintegrator. For removing forests and digging holes. Because flans tools don't look that cool.

Best original designs that anyone here has given me, so kindly don't complain unless you care to better it.Iv121 wrote:Prob is cats its nothing new you bring to the table, we've all seen the same in 100 variations here already. Also the amount of grain hurts my eyes -.- .
Also cat, can you give me a front/back view and a top view? Gives me the best chance of being able to make this thing, it's a lot more feasible now though.
And Shadow, guns can do all those things if you use them correctly.

I'm... not meaning to bring anything new to the table... a redesign for modeling ease isn't supposed to do that. It might help if you read more than the last post. Or actually read the last post rather than just clicking the spoilers. And these are pictures of pencil drawings, I'm going to draw them in PS and add some more detail.Iv121 wrote:Prob is cats its nothing new you bring to the table, we've all seen the same in 100 variations here already. That was rather unnecessary, Iv.Iv121 wrote:Prob is cats its nothing new you bring to the table, we've all seen the same in 100 variations here already. Also the amount of grain hurts my eyes -.- .
That said, so was your own comment, Shadowcat.

Re: FC content pack flan's [SUPERTHREADNAUGHT]
Well if you really want to involve feelings in it I knida feel that sketches I make are treated like crap compared to other ones, but that wasn't the reason I posted what I did, if you don't care about my input its fine I will let you do your thing.
