Please turn the gas back on.

But seriously a cycle of about 24 hours is natural and healthy, depending on the person. Two periods of four hours works best for me.

I tried doing that once, didn't work out. I sleep about 9 hours usually, at least an hour of that being hazy half-consciousness. I'll try getting to sleep around 8 or 9 tonight, it's annoying waking up late. What do you mean by gas?

I believe he's referring to a short story/creepypasta/whatever about a Soviet experiment where a bunch of people were locked in a room with a gas to keep them awake for 14 days.

Sounds familiar, don't read Creepypasta though, just Lovecraft.

It averages to 6 hours of sleep a day, but I remember seeing some thing saying that only part of your recommended 8 hours 'counts' and that about 40% is sort of wasted, am I getting the equivalent of 16 hours with 12? Anyone know anything about this?
Your sleep patterns are never permanent, the brain will adjust its 'brain timers' after a few days to keep up with you but that can easily be fixed. No your not getting sixteen hours of sleep in twelve, your brain doesn't time travel.
I suggest you force yourself to sleep in a regular pattern again, during sleep your brain shutdown your frontal cortex to repair and sort out memory's from garbage. Long term sleeping like this will probably result in memory loss and headaches and down the road anti-socialism.

Socialism is a political theory. The word you need is 'sociality'.

Had problems with that already, I feel fine so far although I'm going to stop doing this.

Oversleeping is actually a thing, you know. How much sleep you really get is dependent on your REM cycles; overdoing it might actually leave you more energy deprived than usual.

It usually does, 8-9 hours is perfect for me, any more and I'm a zombie, any less and I'm only semi conscious. I need to move around more.

Additional Finnformation: Slept 14 hours last night, think I got into a normal pattern again as it feels like the time it actually is.

If I get more than 8 hours of sleep every night, I'll sleep in class. The less the better.
