The Strigiforme have made the purchase of 50 private ships with origins in other empires. Upgrades to several other planetary shields are almost complete, with the shield over Cuuyth entirely upgraded with at least a 30% increase in power. A new planetary shield layer is being added, hopefully to deter debris from a recent mass asteroid collision in the system, though the designs suggested are unusually strong for the purposes.

The nebulous new cruiser class announced recently has been confirmed to be a new "stealth cruiser". Details other than that, however, are sparse.

Also, the teams for the Galactic Games have been confirmed and are being assembled.

The Council has also passed a law allowing the government to take over any corporate or private assets during times of conflict. The Ryytils have additionally created a psionic barrier around Cuuyth that will block unwanted influence or observation.

O4-IK: Exactly. And I don't believe in coincidences either. I suggest we act immediately to raise awareness and maybe even keep the attendence as low as possible. We may not be able to stop their plan, but we might be able to drop its effectiveness.

The government has released information according to which, at the dinner the Strigiforme have signed treaties with various other nations keeping them from interfering should the Strigiforme attack the EC. This puts the newly passed law regarding property confiscation during wartime in Strigiforme space, as it may seem like a plot to acquire a gigantic fleet by simply placing the already expected declaration of war during the games, when massive ammounts of visitors and their ships will be present in Strigiforme space.
Travellers from all factions are advised to expect cancelled flights and increased prices for the leftover ones to the games, as travelling companies and private shipwrights may not want to risk their ships in face of those revelations.

Construction of mining stations and factories have started on the Zuguthian colony on Pandora. They will be completed and operational in less than two weeks.

Another unknown virus is spreading among other Zuguthian colonies. Infected colonies will be put in quarantine to prevent further spread, as well as to make diagnosing and treating the virus easier.
