The Strigiforme have finished retrofitting their ships with the latest weapons systems and technology(I actually started this ages ago). The Ryytils, inhabitants of the Triangulum galaxy, are now full members of the SDI, with some 30 colonies in the Triangulum and 5 newly cuuythformed colonies in Strigiforme space gifted to them by the Strigiforme. Plans are being made to use the Ryytils abilities to form a shield around SDI space, which would protect those inside from influence of other groups. This has been achieved on a small scale around several capital planets and ships, and hopefully will be created to shield a whole system within a few months. Leader has also passed an act to increase the military by around ten scores of ships, each of which would be made with newer designs than the current ships. Planetary defences are also being improved, with the new risk of long range super weapons highlighted yet again; planetary shields are being upgraded in key systems and new systems are being added to protect stars themselves. Moving on to sports, the Pan-Galactic Athletic Games are prepared to be hosted on Iyylvar, a Strigiforme world; the third time the Games have been hosted by the Strigiforme. They will commence in just 1.5 standard months.

The MQR can't send any athletes due to the laws of the Strigiforme being a threat to their savety.

Also, the Novan convoi has arrived in MQR space and is being unloaded as we speak.
The MQR thanks the Novan Commonwealth to have delivered the requested supplies so quickly.

In other news, the government has decided to store ammunition for another two shots on the MBS Gaia, with t total of three shots, or 21 Chaos Emeralds, now being stored there.
Why the superweapon has been stocked so much remains unclear, but plans have already been mentioned to construct another eclipse cannon, though its proposed location remains unclear.

Also the Auroria Station has been brought to operational capability and has been activated.
Since most of the heavy armor and the majority of weapon systems still is offline, however, the second fleet will remain there to guard the station.

In addition plans have been mentioned to construct new ships, possibly even forming an entire new fleet that might be stationed in the Andromeda Galaxy.

The EIN remains on DEFCON 2, the navy and boarder patrol units have been raised to DEFCON 2 as well while ground forces remain on DEFCON 3. Reasons remain classified.

A new class of battlecruiser has been commissioned by the Commonwealth Star Navy. Details are classified, but the navy has stated the ship will be "a great leap forward" in terms of new technologies.

The Strigiforme colony in the Andromeda is undergoing additional construction, including an entirely new defensive belt of static platforms just outside the orbit of the world's second satellite. Cuuyth's shield systems are nearly updated, and a new system is almost in place. Several large artificial satellites are also being added along the probable trajectories hostile projectiles would take. Also, several worlds in the Andromeda near the Strigiforme have been claimed by the Ryytils. Pan-Galactic Games are in 2 standard weeks.

Further details have been announced regarding the new fleet: It will consist entirely of newer classes that have a focus on maneuverability. It will also be equipped with an unusual ammount of projectile weapons, however, further details regarding those weapons remain classified. It has also been confirmed that the fleet will indeed be stationed at Auroria.

Regarding Auroria, the local mining colony has been set up, the station has been completed and right now, drydocks for the new fleet and a defense sattelite network are being constructed.

The MQR is also researching planetary-scale shielding.
Although those shields will not nearly be as strong as those of the Strigiforme, they should at least keep weapons like the Strigiforme Barrage Cannon from launching surprise attacks like in the last war.
