OOC, AFAIK time has paused itself until the owl states his demands. ACH, if you would?

Re: Faction infos and propogandas / Empires RP
"Down to business indeed. As you know, we have shown particular interest in a certain group of empires. The basis of our demands would be for your empires to simply.... turn a blind eye. Your peoples will come to no harm, unless they stray into open battlefields. The Equestrians have long been a blight on the galaxy. You would receive the Imperator, as well as the opportunity to renegotiate certain trade agreements, possibly more in your favour."

Markus paused.
"The Novan Commonwealth will maintain its neutrality in any conflict between the Moboquestrians and the Strigiforme. Gods know you've had enough wars."
He thought a moment.
"However, I do feel moved to ask you to contain your aforementioned battlefields to a limited sector of space. Galactic wars never end well."

"The thing would be, with this deal it wouldn't be a galactic war; this would minimize the spread of it. With this neutrality act, it would be entirely minimized. This war is inevitable; doing this now makes it less destructive overall."

Markus glanced around at the others, gaguing their reactions. Jahgrin seemed indifferent, Heilream seemed to be arguing with himself, and Omega's face betrayed, well, nothing.
He spoke up. "Provided you hold up your end - and in addition to the Imperator, we'd like the location of Hopeful - I see no issue with this."

"We have, sadly, no knowledge of the location of the Hopeful, but we will deploy forces to search for it. The Imperator will be delivered upon the signing of this." He pulls out several large papers, each with large amounts of writing, "This will guarantee your people's safety from the Strigiforme. We cannot speak for the Equestrians, however we will do as much as possible to contain their forces."
Remember Ivan, you aren't here and this is in a secure room within a Faraday cage in the Strigiforme capital building.

So basically noone without psionic communications equipment who was already inside would ever be able to tell me about this?ACH0225 wrote:"We have, sadly, no knowledge of the location of the Hopeful, but we will deploy forces to search for it. Not even psionic; there are soldiers from the psionic insectoid race the Strigiforme found making a barrier. Also, a Strigiforme shield. Of course, if one of them told you afterwords, I couldn't stop that. But until this is finished, you don't know.

Paranoia to the MAX.
BIC.
Markus looked at the stack of papers. "I can hardly speak for the rest of this galaxy, but pass me a pen, please."
The owl handed him one, and he skimmed it, then signed.
"There is one other thing, however. If you are agreeable, there is someone aboard my shuttle who much desires to meet you; or a Strigiforme, at any rate. After we wrap up here, would you care to speak to her?"

"Always; I can guess who it is, and there will be some Ryytils nearby in case..." He accepted the paper. "You have ensured peace for your people."

Re: Faction infos and propogandas / Empires RP
Jahgrin looked at the papers and sighed. He quickly scanned over the document, and after a few seconds, his assistant AI chimed up. Multiple unsatisfactory clauses detected. Civilian lives will not be placed any more value that military lives. Enslavement and assimilation cannot be restricted, should it occur. Should other nations receive refugees, if Strigiforme requests they be handed over, the request must be complied with.
"It pains me," Jahgrin said somberly, "that you're using the Imperator as a bargaining chip. I'm sure you're well aware of the damage inflicted on NeoRome? And why the pointless waste of lives, however much you hate them?"
"I may be mistaken," replied the Strigiforme leader, "but didn't you personally authorize the complete destruction of Cyrania's system using a singularity launcher, it's existence being covered up for nearly 100 years?" Jahgrin stared at him, a slight look of shock on his face.
"How did you..." he whispered under his breath. "Very well, then. I suppose NeoRome can agree with these terms."

Markus nodded. The owl was certainly perceptive... and well informed.
"I will wait at my vessel; contact me when you have finished with...this lot, please. And I doubt you need fear my friend, they don't use psionics as we understand them."
Novan Broadcast to the GSA
Recently, Novan doctors managed to achieve a breakthrough in bioengineering and bioaugmentation. A volunteer, who is to remain nameless, was successfully given several enhanced abilities.
Most notable, and the only unclassified of these is what the doctors are referring to as "enhanced neuro-nervous bioelectric transmission"; in layman's terms, inhumanly quick reflexes and reaction time. More information to follow.

Re: Faction infos and propogandas / Empires RP
Senator Yiet wasn't liking the way that this was going. He would sign the neutrality papers, but he, and the other 3 senators, wanted the Imperator. He spoke in a quiet, but authoritative tone, "The Confederation would like the Imperator to be put our custody for military tribunal and punishment." He looked toward Jahgrin, "That punishment could include whatever you had planned in addition to the tribunal's decision." He signed the papers. I will be in my shuttle if I am needed.

Re: Faction infos and propogandas / Empires RP
OOC: It would be interesting to see their reaction when/if they notice they have been shut off from the outside.
BIC: The Moboquestrian Republic has sent their concerns for the savety of the participating politicians of the dinner, as they have been unable to detect their psionic signature for over an hour. With normal losses of connection due to local psionic flux usually not lasting longer than several seconds, it can be expected that the Strigiforme have used secret psionic technology to seal off the area from the MQR's sensors. Long range scans also suggest the use of jammers for conventional communication.
The EIN, generally not liking lack of information, has increased its alert state to DEFCON 2, while the rest of the armed forces simply haven't been lowered from DEFCON 3 yet and remain on that state of alert.
OOC: The EIN likes jumping to a high DEFCON when stuff is happening and calming down just as quick afterwards. They also hate it when the Strigiforme do stuff with other countries without the EIN knowing. In fact, they'd like to know of such events before the Strigiforme know themselves, so I think DEFCON 2 is pretty good even without the knowledge of the Strigiforme ploy.

Is nice guy and hosts dinner. Tries to make sure it is private. Other countries freak out.
