A Game to Play
Yes I would prob support either WoT or TF2 potential-wise, and Error fix the damn votes !

The point is that people should be able to change their vote, or the entire point of arguing would be invalid.Icelandic Perehelion wrote:Iv, everyone can select up to 3 options.

Re: A Game to Play
Not sure the poll can do that without me restarting the thread. Lemmie take a look.
EDIT: Nope, once vote is cast, stays cast. There's no "Allow users to alter their vote" option.

Damn. Anyway, I've selected SoaSE in the poll and I am currently looking into PS2 (since it is F2P after all).

So, what's wrong with Minecraft again? There were some arguments against it but I can't remember them now.

It won't work for attracting new users. The MC server area is massively oversaturated.

Well, what are we now? It almost seems like the RP people are some separate thing, and then everyone else is basically using this as... something.catsonmeth wrote:If we turn into a gaming group we'll just lose members of the community and gain shitty... gaming people. I get that there aren't many alternatives, but if we follow through and transition, I don't think the community will hold. I've said that I'd stick with FC to the end of the end, but count me out.Spoiler:

And why shitty gaming people, Id like to remind you that one way or another you ARE a gamer, and as I already told playing with others can be really cool.

Re: A Game to Play
Playing with others can be cool as long as those others aren't assholes or noobs or idiots or anything. I'd hate for this place to become a place where every 5th post would be "double-click the icon to start the game" or "lol u suk i * ur mom u r jsut a fat gay nigerr"
Not saying I'm against this becoming a gaming community, that sounds like it could be at least a good-ish idea.

Well you just told the second thing yourself Daynel "No wanna noobs !", your gaming skills do not define what kind of person you are, I dont want to hear about that "noob" stuff anymore, that’s the point of social gaming communities, they take the aspect of skill out of the equation completely, that means that you won't poke ppl for being noobs and you won't get ppl poking you for being a "noob", you relate to each other as people and not stats.

Re: A Game to Play
I don't mean noob like sucking at a game. I totally respect people who suck at games, I do as well. When I say noob I mean people who are like "how do I open the game?" or "how do I do *insert basically anything here* in the game?". Those kind of people are quite annoying.Iv121 wrote:Well you just told the second thing yourself Daynel "No wanna noobs !", your gaming skills do not define what kind of person you are, I dont want to hear about that "noob" stuff anymore, that’s the point of social gaming communities, they take the aspect of skill out of the equation completely, that means that you won't poke ppl for being noobs and you won't get ppl poking you for being a "noob", you relate to each other as people and not stats.

You can argue semantics all day if you want, Iv, but you understand his point, right? He's saying he's worried about undesirables showing up if we become a gaming community. That's a totally legitimate point, regardless of how it was phrased.
