Seriously, the Rail MG would be a more base friendly defence weapon (never, never NEVER, fire the Laser MG indoors)

The plasma thrower would be more expensive, the rail MG would be a cheaper but less powerful weapon. I see no reason to throw it away.

Also it would go well on tanks, the laser MG isn't overly useful when it sets your own shit on fire. That's kind of why I didn't put any on the Leviathan.

As I said prior, deployable guns are impossible to use because they render you blind, making aiming difficult.

As I'm going to be nerfing these guns through the basement, I think I can make a barrel attachment, difficult to craft, but restores it to it's more powerful status.

Plus a fancy scope, stock and grip, making those now.

And perhaps generic upgrades, that you can bung on any gun like:
Overdrive: Gun fires faster (not sure if I can do this)
Overcharge: Gun does more damage
Speedy: Gun reloads faster
Steady: Gun is more accurate and recoil is reduced
Bullettime: Slows bullets down, this is more for model testing.
Pawnch: Gun does increased melee damage

Each crafted using a standard upgrade chip and a special item you find in vanilla

Looks more like a gunship, but moar dakka never goes amiss.

Also, why not have weapons with specializations? Bayonetted guns get melee bonuses, rail weapons and longbarrel rifles get accuracy increases, MGs and high caliber guns get WTFLOLPWN damage on a hit, and such.

So you don't just slap a bunch of upgrades on a pistol and have a sniper machinegun sword lolpwn gun.

Lasers already have the accuracy thing, however they won't do as much damage (unless you use the super expensive barrel)

Rail weapons are pretty much the only other kind of gun we have so far as the conventionals are rather shit and only in there because Taco wouldn't fucking stop bugging me.

Is it possible to have the projectiles for lasers be as long as the range and move at high enough speed so that we can have a beam instead of bolts?

I tried increasing bullet speed with barrel attachments, weird shit happens.
