I've been tweaking the design of the Atlas to make it look less like a Gloster Meteor and more like a space doodah.

I've got the cockpit worked out completely, but the rest is still up for debate.

I've moved the wing guns to be attached to the fuselage, and made the torpedo bays more central on the wing

I've added an extension on the back of the wing where it connects to the body, could be filled or hollow.

Back end has been cut up into four engines.

Back fins changed

Added intake things on mid and rear fuselage

Expanded fuselage around the defence turret

Can't decide between wheels or hover pads for landing gear.

Would it be possible to have a transport ship that, instead of guns, placed mechs down? It would be a unique solution to the problem of aerial mech dropping.

I dunno Proto I already told you about the loss of dakka, Make the torpedo bays bigger, giant, make ppl feel the whole weight of this craft, they should look much bigger than the wings, they should step out both in length and height. Plus as a side Q what the hell did you turn the back fin into ?

Also 60 blocks ? I know I had big design in mind but THAT is going overboard, I could build a real corvette out of real blocks at this length, completely defeats the point of making it a mesh.

Manus's E-3 is 57 blocks long...
Same with the 747.
I imagined this as the same sort of size as a B-52, so big means big. But Modelscale can easily fix any length issues.

I can always scale it back, that'll actually fix the issue with the bays as they are fucking big anyway. If you want them ridiculously big I'll have to move them further in because it'll look silly. If I do that I'll swap the positions with the driver guns.
That and I can't draw scale for shit, this is just for the shape.

And I don't know what I turned the back fin into. I'm just throwing ideas there.

Well I can always scale it up or down in the config, so it doesn't matter too much what size I make the model.

However I could also make it that scale, but shorten the fuselage and move the engines forwards, so they are overlapping with the wings, if I do that and drawn the torpedo bays into the fuselage that should make it looks like more filled out and less like an airplane. I could also bring the front of the wings forward.

That way it would end up being a similar size to the Tu-22 Manus made, but more filled out (rather than being really skinny)

Also for the torpedo bays, you said make them bigger, I could perhaps keep the height and length the same, but widen them to incorporate more torpedoes (I.e. 12 or 15 instead of the nine shown there. Currently I think each torpedo is going to be 10 high, 10 wide and perhaps 96 blocks long, so putting padding of 2 pixels around each torpedo, with the 3x4 layout would have the torpedo bays 3.5 blocks wide, and 2.6 blocks high. Length will be whatever looks best with those should I go with them.
