From various sensor sweeps, Ohijan has been determined to be a highly unusual ARK station; rather than the spherical planet-like configuration of most, Ohijan is crystalline, forming two square pyramids connected at the base. In addition, Ohijan is considerably smaller than an ARK station, suggesting that this isn't oriented towards long-term survival like the others, but towards other more mobile tasks. Regardless, recovery of the core will be considerably simpler.

The NC recently stated both the Zuguthian Empire and Hexalan Expanses have sent science teams to join the extragalactic mission. Reports indicate, however, that a great deal of secrecy surrounds part of the starship, and all involved refuse to speak to reporters.

Meanwhile, the new Galactic Security Initiative has grown, adding the HE to its roster. More details on that at 8, 8:30 in Newfoundland.

NeoRome is sending a premier science team, and a small module with highly classified technology inside, to the Star Chaser. The NeoRoman science team has declined to comment on any details of the devices sealed within the Arconium Alloy modules, but assures that it is not military in nature. The module will remain within the Star Chaser's hull.

NeoRome has also accepted the invitation to join the GSI.

Power problems continue to plague Antioch today, as the planet's Primary Fusion Core's power is being drained for use in a classified experiment. The government is reluctant to share details, only mentioning that the power is being relayed to the task force at Ohijan, but the Hierarch assures that power will be restored within the week. In the meantime, emergency backup generators are kicking in to take up the strain.

After furious debate in the Council, the Strigiforme have declined to join the GSI, citing reluctance to be commanded by what was referred to as "a cabal of voting blocs and ambitious civilians hijacking the military under the guise of democracy." The SDI have also released a statement that any action taken against the SDI or its' client states by the GSI will be treated as an action by all the members of the GSI.
